This beautiful, very clean cozy 1,500 sq. ft. home is nestled in the woods on Spider Lake, an all-sports lake. This 1.5 story home has 3 bedrooms with comfortable beds, 2 full baths and sleeps 6 comfortably and has a lower walkout furnished patio for convenient access to the lake. It is tastefully decorated in northern Michigan lodge style, indoor/outdoor dining facilities, comfortable beds, 16 x 24 deck overlooking the lake with the BEST SUNSET VIEWS.

This 1.5 acre wooded, lakefront home is remote and quiet and enjoys 140 feet of lake frontage, with two docks--a 30 foot boat dock and a 12 x 10 platform dock perfect for sunbathing or relaxing under the umbrella reading a book or swimming to the water trampoline. A spacious, flat lakefront lawn with chaise lounges, adirondack chairs around a campfire at waters edge, a hammock for napping, and a picnic table is a perfect setting for a day on the lake with the family. The water is shallow for the first 20 feet with a small, sandy area perfect for small children.

A well stocked country store and bar/restaurant are only a few minutes from this property and downtown Traverse City is only 15 minutes from Spider Lake.

About The Owner

Sharon and I have owned this home for 14 years. We raised our kids on Spider Lake in the summer, commuting from Oakland county. Currently all 3 kids are in college and we plan to move to Spider Lake in the next 3 years.

The Owner purchased this house in 1998

Best possible location in all of northern Michigan. 15 minutes from Traverse City, out in the country. Lots of outdoor activities

What makes this house unique

On a great all sport lakes with controlled active and quiet time traffic. Property is not close to any road with traffic, 1.5 acre lot in the woods. Plenty of space on the outside, parking, basketball hoop, lawn games. Hard to find this much real estate on a Spider Lake property. 15 minutes from everywhere.....The Bay, downtown TC, Casino, Home Depot, Sams Club, Meijers, hiking trails, other public lakes. 45 minutes from Sleeping Bear Dunes, 20 minutes from Interlochen.......a week isn't long enough:-)

We stayed at the cottage mid - August 2012 and were very happy with it. The home has two levels, each with a bathroom and large TV sets, in case you're not interested in watching sports with the guys. There are also TV sets in each of the bedrooms. The view of the water is one of the best on Spider Lake and we spent most evenings enjoying a campfire right on the lake. The sand beach was perfect for our toddler grandkids.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Awesome Slice of Northern Michigan Heaven!

We recently stayed at this beautiful lake front Home on Spider Lake. Everything was as advertised. Clean, Spacious, Private with a ton of activities in and around Traverse City. We found the owners to be to very easy and friendly to do business with as this slice of Northern Michigan heaven provided us with a lifetime of family memories. Over the last decade we have stayed at several properties on Spider Lake, and I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking to get away from it all.
- Access to technology - Cable TV and Wireless Internet- Great Fishing - Caught a 25" Pike- Plenty to do on Spider Lake and in and around Traverse City- Comfort for 6 people- Clean, Great Views on Deck, Boat Dock
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Romantic Getaway

Fantastic Traverse City Home!

We had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic Spider Lake home for 9 months. The view is breathtaking! We spent many days swimming, fishing, and entertaining on the large deck - taking in every beautiful sunset we could muster! We were only 15 minutes to downtown Traverse City where we enjoyed all of the great restaurants, Cherry Fest, shopping, the vineyards, and all of the other great offerings of the city. (Far too many to mention here) The home was spotless, and the owners were great people to deal with. We'd recommend this dream vacation spot all day long.
