Our forest farm, Knuffelbodane, is surrounded by a forest in the north, east and south. On the west lies a lake which is 4 square kilometers - small for Swedish proportions. Here there is no car noise and there are no loud neighbours, no traffic and no rush - instead there is only a lot of forest, the lake, twittering of birds and sometimes an elk. To the west lies a beautiful, still lake for swimming and fishing. Our plot of land lies on a large 1.5 hectare (15,000 square meters) clearing in the midst of the forest. There are hens, a cat, rabbits and guinea pigs as well as around 100 year old - recently renovated - dwelling, a large shed with stables and wooden cabins for lodging vacationing guests in the yard. You can fish or swim or hike in the forest the entire day without coming across people. You can undertake guided tours, play sport s or simply do nothing and enjoy the nature. You can cook for yourself or eat with us. Holiday, as you desire.

Our Knuffelbodane yard is located in the Swedish commune of Amal. Knuffelbodane is surrounded by a forest in the North, East and South. On the west lies a sea which is 4 square kilometers smaller for Swedish proportions. Amal lies in Dalsland, on the border between South and Middle Sweden, 180 Kilometer north of Gothenburg, at the west bank of Vänern, the largest Swedish lake, which is ten times as big as Lake Constance. Inland, Vänern is the largest water sports region of Sweden. From Knuffelbodane it is 10 kilometers on the paved tracks, which are well-suited to travel by car, to reach the city center. Around fifteen thousand inhabitants live here and you find cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and other shops, a boat boat and former commercial harbor, a movie theater, physicians, pharmacies, schools, sports facilities as well as bus and railway station. In Amal, you can charter a boat or undertake a steamboat cruise through the skerries of Vänern.
