A cozy log cabin just been built on top of hill overlooking Ashmere Lake in Hinsdale, Ma. A perfect place for rest and relaxation. Walking distance to the private beach for sunning, swimming, fishing, boating or just exploring.

Located outside of Pittsfield, you are a short distance to many Berkshire attractions such as Norman Rockwell Museum, Jacob's Pillow, Shakespeare & Co., Kripalu Yoga Center, Canyon Ranch, Berkshire Museum, Hancock Shaker Village, Tanglewood, Jiminy Peak, Mass MOCA, Barrington Stage Co, Williamstown Theatre, Clarke Art Museum and the Prime Outlets (shop till you drop!).

Hinsdale is a quaint central Berkshire town that lacks the summer/fall tourist traffic of the southern Berkshire area.The area is surrounded by beautiful lakes and hills with many opportunities to get outside and enjoy nature.Fall foliage color overload right around you. A fully equipped kitchen, ceiling fans, central heat if needed.

We really enjoyed our stay in this very well-kept log cabin. The cabin is small but comfortable, with a large kitchen open to the living area. Everything for cooking is provided, as well as plenty of towels and extra bed linens. The neighborhood is quiet, and you can easily hear cars approaching (this was nice for us because we felt safe allowing our young children to play in the yard while we relaxed on the front porch, without the constant fear of them getting too close to a busy street). The private beach is about a five minute walk down the road, and it is clean and quiet. The 20-minute drive into Pittsfield gets you several grocery stores and lots of restaurants, as well as some other basic shopping. This is a very nice place if you're looking for peace and quiet, with adventures only a short drive away. We recommend Hancock Shaker Village if you're into living history museums! Finally, the owner is friendly and accommodating. We would absolutely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time at this new log cabin. The listing and pictures were accurate and the property was extremely well-kept. The owner was courteous and responsive. The location was relatively close to area attractions and in walking distance of the community beach. We would highly recommend this property and hope to return some time soon.
