VILLA ROSSO DI SERA- overlooking picturesque Taylor Bay & Chalk Sound

We can't stop raving about our stay at Villa Rosso di Sera and have encouraged several friends looking at visiting Turks & Caicos to book this villa. Villa Rosso di Sera is ideal for intimate, relaxing beach vacations.

We visited Villa Rosso di Sera for a birthday celebration that included my husband, 3 year old daughter, myself and a dear family friend. We chose Villa Rosso di Sera specifically because it offered both a pool and a short walk to Taylor Bay Beach, the best of both worlds. We couldn't have been happier or had a more relaxing vacation.

The villa is located between Chalk Sound and Taylor Bay in a residential neighborhood. It's a short walk to Taylor Bay Beach, which was never crowded. What we appreciated about the location was not only the privacy but also the proximity to the beach. In fact, each night just before sunset, we would cart our beach chairs and a cocktail down to beautiful Taylor Bay Beach and unwind while we watched the sunset. It was breathtaking. During daylight, with it's crystal clear, calm, shallow waters, Taylor Bay Beach is a great choice if you have small children.

As you can gather from the photos and description, every detail about this villa is well thought out by its owner, Ken. The floor plan was ideal - the bulk of the living area is on the main floor and there are plenty of dining / conversation spots. The master suite upstairs and fourth bedroom downstairs afford anyone seeking it, a quiet respite. Personally we loved the kitchen (and grill), which was stocked with an assortment of pots & pans so we had the option of eating out or dining in and with a 3 year, this was a life-saver!

The property is clean and very well kept. The villa is stocked with plenty of beach chairs, towels & toys, including two kayaks which we took out on Chalk Sound one morning. The pool was a huge hit with our little one, she loved being able to take a quick dip before breakfast and we loved the convenience of letting her swim with an adult while we got ready to head to the beach.

Ken, the owner was extremely helpful and gracious. He answered any of our questions and was more than happy to point us toward a few local dining spots.

I know this review is getting long, there are just so many positives about Villa Rosso di Sera, we could fill a book!

Our group of 7 (3 generations) just returned from a wonderful week renting this villa. We have rented many homes throughout the Caribbean and this one is now our hands-down favorite for many reasons. As the website and pictures show, the house has a terrific layout, beautiful decor and fabulous indoor/outdoor spaces. In addition, the house has a great location -- 3 min walk to the beach, 1 min walk to the tennis courts and a terrific pool area with a hot tub. Finally, the owner was extremely easy to deal with from the first email to our checkout.

Taylor Bay Beach is a jewel -- white sugar sand and crystal clear water. There are two kayaks at the house which were fun to use at the beach. The tennis courts were recently resurfaced and are in excellent condition. We were in and out of the water at the beach, pool and hot tub all day, every day. The pool area is beautiful with tons of seating, a cabana with a full bathroom, pretty landscaping, wi-fi and shady areas throughout the day. We used the gas grill at night to cook dinner while the kids continued to swim.

We used the A/C a few nights but the breezes usually kept the house cool. Because the house is so open (screens on the windows of course), we did have some mosquito issues and occasionally heard some noisy children in nearby rental homes. Mosquitoes are part of the beach environment and the neighbors probably heard our children too, so these are minor complaints compared to the excellent overall experience we had. We will be back and we highly recommend this home to anyone considering a rental in the Taylor Bay area!

A great experience from start to finish. From the pick up at the airport, to the quality of the home and all its amenities. We travelled as a group of eight and had no difficulty finding our space in this wonderfully designed, constructed and appointed home. Very secure. The pool was a great hit with all the family and the views were spectacular.
