The Owner purchased this estate in 2006
We came up to Healdsburg to celebrate my birthday and rented a property in Dry Creek for the weekend. We fell in love with the valley and its proximity to town. On a walk we saw a for sale sign on this property and ended up owning a vineyard and this wonderful home. We are only 70 minutes from our home in the city and love to come for an overnight or stay for 2 weeks.
Being here at the property is the complete wine country experience. This is a valley where many of the residents and wineries are still owned by the descendants of the original settlers. The town of Healdsburg while becoming upscale over the past few years still hold quite a bit of charm
Though the pictures give one the general idea that the property is beautiful, we were absolutely taken aback when we arrived. It's magical. My family and I had the most wonderful five days and would come stay again in a heartbeat!
Our family (including dog) just returned from this beautiful spot in Healdsburg. The grounds are exceptionally "awesome" (as my son says)! Beautiful trees and flowers surround an idyllic home where we enjoyed every moment of being outside and then inside too. The creek was a blast. The current and proximity to the house made it a special adventure. We thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful days and nights - especially the gracious kitchen space and it's immediacy to the outdoors. Pool and hot tub were clean and big and great. Even the location to town made it s great running opportunity for our family. We hope to make it a habit of visiting Healdsburg and staying here.
From the perfect location to the many surprises on the property not to mention the incredible helpfulness of the owners, this is a gem of a rental. We spent a wonderful long weekend at the property over Father's Day and it was one of our favorite trips for adults and kids alike. The grounds are terrific, with idyllic Tuscan gardens and a 20 acre vineyard at your doorstep as well as hidden delights like a hammock overlooking Dry Creek and an outdoor firespot perfect for smores and storytelling. The pool is great for a group and the location-- down the road from some of the top Healdsburg wineries, near town and a stone's throw from the famous Dry Creek General Store-- combine to make this home a hard one to beat for any occasion!
Just returned from a girls weekend trip at this beautiful vineyard estate and we were all in awe at the incredible, serene setting we found ourselves in. Not only did the property exceed our expectations, but the owners were a pleasure to work with and very accommodating. There were no crazy rules or restrictions as you find with other rentals, and it was easy to feel completely at home and comfortable here because you know the owners take exceptional care of the property and are happy to accommodate guests seeking a mutually respectful relationship. None of my guests nor I wanted to leave at the end of our trip. Highly recommended!
The estate is beautiful and perfect for a relaxing getaway! We had three adult couples and two dogs enjoy the property for our extended Labor Day trip. I cannot say enough great things about this property and its owners. Napping on the hammock while listening to the creek, playing bean bag toss in the large back yard, walking the gardens, enjoying an evening fire inside, day trips to vineyards and many hours of pool and hot tub time are some of the trip highlights. I would highly recommend this property!
My family immensely enjoyed our week in Dry Creek.
Healdsburg and the surrounding areas have long been one of my wife’s and my favorite spots to visit.
This time we brought our whole family, including our dog who found the grounds to be heaven (she will no doubt have a hard time adjusting back to her more confined everyday life).
The grounds are remarkable. Our girls loved the pool which is set off the back of the house just off the kitchen and family room. The gardens and orchard are lovely and are abutted by the vineyards. The grounds are expansive and extend down to a creek. Lying in the hammock that overlooks the creek where you can see the vineyards across West Dry Creek Road and listen to the water run down the stream and through the overhanging trees is idyllic.
And did I mention how much our dog loved running and running and running until she got so tired she would find a comfortable spot in the shade to take a nap.
The house itself is very nice and comfortable and we ate in every night just to enjoy the surroundings (something we never do, especially with so many great restaurants nearby).
Maybe the best thing was to be in beautiful Dry Creek and feel like you had the area to yourself.
We recommend this highly.
