My name is Carolyn and I am managing this lovely home for my parents. I was born and raised in Leland, Michigan and lived in this house for nearly 10 years. I have spent several years traveling abroad, I have lived in Ann Arbor, Los Angeles and now, Austin...and I am speaking honestly when I say that Leland is still my favorite place to vacation!
My husband and I are both architects. We enjoy the outdoors, wine and FOOD.
My parents, the owners of this wonderful apartment, are both in the restaurant business.
My father was raised in Leland and descends from a long line of Leland locals. My mother, a native Michigander, spent much of her youth in the Leland area where she eventually settled down with dad. Their dedication to the County and Leland life runs deep. We're all in love with the area!
The Owner purchased this apartment in 1989
After having lived in town for 18 years and now visited as a vacationer, I am convinced that the quality of life in Leland CANNOT be beat. Our sleepy little town will keep you active and outdoors spring - fall, and will give you necessary pause and repose in the winter (though don't be fooled - there's LOTS to see in do in the snow too!!!). Leland really has it all. I miss it terribly while I am away...always looking forward to the next visit.
This little apartment is the perfect place to stay for the family or couple looking to be in the heart of Leland activities! We lived in this house for many years while I was growing up. The location is so convenient for bicycling, popping down to Fishtown for a sandwich, walking over to the Yacht Club for sailing lessons or heading over to Van's beach for a swim. You'll enjoy wonderful views of the Leland River through old-growth maple trees and over a flowering front yard. Be sure to keep the windows open for the breeze off of Lake Michigan!
