Overview

Dingle Peninsula House Rental Photos and Description

House, 4 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

Welcome, come and stay in my beautiful home just built in 2011. Sit on the patio or at the many window seats and enjoy the panoramic views of Tralee Bay,The Maharees, Ballyheigue, Fenit and the night lights of Tralee! Smell the ocean air and enjoy the seaside location of this one of a kind designer home.

This is a large luxury dormer residence built in 2011 to the highest standards. The property enjoys an elevated position high over Tralee Bay offering spectacular, unobstructed 180° vistas over the surrounding countryside and the Bay. On a total living area of approximately 2,800 sq ft, the house comprises a beautiful large entrance hall, a fully fitted kitchen, dining and living room with vaulted ceilings. Four bedrooms two en-suite and 2 sharing a bathroom. (Stand alone shower, sink and toilet)

One enters the house into an impressively large entrance hall with stunning views of Tralee Bay . The breath taking kitchen, dining and living room offer dramatic views from every angle across Tralee Bay and The Maharees and Brandon Mountain.

The master-bedroom comes with its own bathroom en-suite (2 sinks, a stand alone shower, bath and toilet) and walk-in wardrobe. There are three additional bedrooms, one with an en-suite bathroom(Stand alone shower, sink and toilet). Further, the house has a comprehensive utility/laundry room with granite worktops. There are 2 powder rooms downstairs (sink and toilet) with built in coat storage attached.

Location Description.

The property is located on the Dingle Peninsula in the South West of Ireland, 10 miles west of Tralee and 20 miles east of Dingle. For those of you who golf this is a perfect location for both Killarney and Ballybunnion golf courses (PGA) - both are approx 30 miles drive. Old Head of Kinsale (PGA) is approx 2 hours drive. Tralee golf course - 14miles.

For those who would like less golf action there are multiple beautiful beach walks minutes away, hill side walking and for the brave of heart Mount Brandon (3,000 feet) the 2nd highest mountain in Ireland. Local horse riding is always a treat.

For those rainy days Tralee offers bowling, movie theaters, Aquadome (water activity - swimming pool and water slides) and Irish cultural shows at Siamsa Tire.

Pick up some local vegetables and fish from the local farmers and Fishermen and cook yourself an amazing meal in this custom built fully equipped kitchen. Should you want to dine out there are local restaurants and pubs within walking distance or drive to Castlegregory, Tralee or Dingle and eat the catch of the day!

These are only a few suggestions for your Irish holiday, my family live nearby and will be glad to answer any questions you may have.

County Kerry (otherwise known as the Kingdom!) is situated in the south west of Ireland, with 3 peninsulas that stretch out into the Atlantic Ocean. It has one of the largest mountain ranges in Ireland with lakes and streams and mile after mile of sandy beach. There is a huge amount to do in Kerry - The Lakes of Killarney, The Geraldine Center, Muckross House.

Many Americans claim their ancestors to be from Kerry as emigration from this area has historically been high. Cead Mile Failte, and welcome home!

The house overlooking Tralee Bay is truly one of the most magnificent houses we've ever been in. It is a "designer" home but exudes comfort and home-iness. The amenities are abundant and the house is clean and extremely well-maintained. The owner has thought of everything, even adapters for charging our phones! We were greeted with typical Irish friendliness and charm and immediately felt at home in our home-away-from-home. We especially enjoyed the large party-friendly kitchen and the window seat looking out over the beautiful view of the countryside and the bay.

There is lots to do in the County Kerry area with Dingle or Tralee just a short drive away. The scenery no matter where you go is spectacular - rugged and pastoral and dotted with sheep and cattle. And of course, we spent some time in the local pub - Ashes - which was friendly and fun.

We would happily recommend the house and area to anyone.

You couldn't find a more beautiful place or vista!

  • 5 of 5

Other reviewers have commented that the pictures on the site don't do this home justice and they were right. This is an absolutely stunning house with beautiful and quality attention to detail in the architecture and decor--every room is beautifully appointed. There is lots of room for a family or group to enjoy themselves, have space to spread out or all be together. And all amenities are taken care of so it really is worry free. The views from the main room out to the sheep pastures and bay are wonderfully pastoral and you can feel yourself relax just gazing out at the scenery. The kitchen is a dream in which to prepare a meal or enjoy a glass (or two) of wine or Guinness and our group may have set a new record judging by the empty bottles! What is better than sitting in a window seat looking out on the magnificent scenery or turning your gaze to the beautiful great room that incorporates a living area, dining area and fabulous kitchen--the views are wonderful no matter where you look. The owner and family are wonderfully attentive to every need and in ensuring that your stay is not only enjoyable, but top notch. We enjoyed the surrounding area...by foot or by car...there is so much to discover and enjoy in this area of Ireland.

We can't say enough about this property...and hope others get to share in the experience.

Absolutely Wonderful Home!

  • 5 of 5

This rental property is an absolute gem in the Dingle peninsula! Its interesting that I had the same "concern" as the previous reviewer that the property almost looked to good to be true from the website but in reality it was absolute perfection and true to the photos and description of the home. This home was a great stepping off point for exploring the Dingle and the south of Ireland. It is a very comfortable and well appointed home and our hosts were very helpful and attentive. The care they take in preparing their home and their guests for their stay was second to none - I was impressed and I am known as someone fairly difficult to please :). I loved everything about this home and its location and it was by far the nicest VRBO rental property we have stayed in. The home is very well equipped and the hosts have thought of everything! I loved the views of the landscape and the ocean and the wonderful breeze that came through the windows - especially when lying comfortably in bed in the morning.

Some of our activities included: Killarney National Park, Killarney Falconry (++ amazing activity), exploring Castlegregory, walking the trail at Loch Anascaul, driving the Dingle Peninsula, driving the Connor Pass (my kids favourite), exploring and walking along the local beach collecting shells and looking for seabirds, visiting the multiple ancient and historical sites in the area, and wonderful restaurants (our favourite for the family for Fish & Chips was Quinlan's in Killarney).

All of our multi-generational family loved this vacation and this VRBO rental - it truly made our trip to Ireland (which was already fantastic) very special! Thanks to Mel and Frances for your hospitality and kindness. All the best!

This property was Heaven on Earth for our family. The location on the Dingle peninsula was the perfect spot for day trips all along the coast, especially so close to Dingle. The detail in the home was beautiful and truthfully I was praying this home really existed because it was that amazing in the photos. YES IT DOES EXIST AND THE VIEW WAS SPECTACULAR! We have five in our family and our three kids all had their own rooms. Francis helped get us settled and even met us to follow her to the home. She was so kind and thoughtful. Lucky to have found this home!
