Perfect Location, Beautiful Guest House

After viewing dozens of vacation rentals, I chose this property because its location perfectly suited my specific needs for my trip to Tucson. I was traveling solo, on business, and that business was being conducted just a few miles away. I am a Tucson native now living in Miami FL, so I know where the best views and nicest areas are--another reason I chose this property. The view of the Santa Catalina mountains is spectacular; I grew up and spent most of my adult life looking at those mountains, so I know what I am talking about.
The accommodations were just as beautiful as the photos suggested; totally Southwestern, perfect for the environment. My best friend, who lives in Tucson, spent some time visiting with me while I was there, and she wants to move in! The size was perfect for me by myself, and would be fine for me and my husband as well. The owners outfitted the property as if they were going to occupy it themselves, which is exactly how I would have done it. The attention to detail was noticeable, right down to the containers of instant oatmeal, the bottles of water and sodas in the refrigerator, and the selection of K-cups--although I have to admit that I brought my own with me.
The decor was appealing too, with some very nice touches: Southwestern-design throw rugs and toss pillows, wrought iron towel hooks and toilet-paper holder, and plenty of big, thick towels.
The breakfast/dining area that faces the front window looking at the mountains was really a treat--I set up my computer and did my work there, and sitting on the patio in the late afternoons was a treat too.
I loved being able to park right at the front door; very convenient. Great cable system, much better than the hotel where I usually stay. The property offers free wi-fi, although I did not use it, since I travel with a mobile hotspot that is secure for my business.
The owners were attentive but in no way obtrusive. There was no set check-in time, and no set check-out time. When I arrived, I found the door to the guesthouse unlocked; inside was the key and a welcome note. There was one thing that I needed to have them take care of, and they were quick to resolve it. I did not spend much time visiting with them, but I am certain I would have enjoyed talking to them more if the opportunity had presented itself. They told me they wanted me to feel like I was at home, and indeed I did. Highly recommend this property, and fully intend to stay there from now on!
