Imagine this: Sitting on the cottage's front porch, enjoying your favorite beverage, you close your eyes and take a deep breath. You hear the comforting sounds of the two rustling creeks just steps off your porch, the birds are singing and the breeze is light and cool. Your worries just seem to drift away as total relaxation embarks upon you...moments before the kids come rushing out of the house telling you they are hungry...No worries because you have reservations at the Lake Club for dinner and, the kids can swim or play in the kid zone until their hearts are content while you enjoy adult conversation with your spouse in front of one of the many fireplaces at the Lake Club. Or everyone can catch a movie in the theatre room.

Regardless, everything is hassle-free when you are staying at our cottage in Bear Lake Reserve. Our home has brand new furniture and kitchenware and, also features three finely appointed, comfortable bedrooms. The master bedroom features a king-sized bedroom set, TV, and large master bath. The guest bedrooms share a lovely bathroom. One guest bedroom has a queen-sized bedroom set and TV. The other bedroom is a triple bunk and one twin bed. It also has a TV and DVD player.

The cottage is located at the front of the neighborhood and is the second house from a dead-end street which offers not only privacy, but no traffic!

We fell in love with this home over five years ago when we stayed there as 'founders' of the development. We loved the easy access in and out of the neighborhood plus the close proximity of the two creeks and trails right outside our front door. Mill Creek Pond and Pavillion is a short walk away - if you love fishing you will love this area! Enjoy fishing in the catch/release pond. Take your burgers and grill outside, or use the full kitchen inside Mill Pond Pavillion and then enjoy your meal under the timberframed porch in front of the fire. This is one of our most favorite activities and we think you will feel the same when you visit our home and Bear Lake Reserve!

My husband, Kevin, and I love coming to visit Bear Lake!!! We live in Tallahassee, Florida with our two boys who are 10 and 8. I don't have to worry about the boys playing in the kid zone while we are dining at the Lake Club. We enjoy boating and the boys love to fish, so Bear Lake is right up our alley. We also enjoy the wildlife of Bear Lake and the scenery. Living in Florida

After purchasing our lot in Bear Lake back in 2004, we have always wanted to have a cottage there because we enjoy it so much. There are lots of things to do at Bear Lake - things that even your kids will enjoy!

Lovely cottage

Stayed at the cottage for 5 days over the New Year. We were very impressed with the cottage and the community. Cottage is beautiful and is larger than it appears with an open concept layout making it easy to spend time together. House has a large screened porch and all essentials. There are lots of hiking trails. convenient to town. Kevin was a pleasure to work with. The area il beautiful and I would love to return to see the fall foliage.

I stayed at this cabin with 5 girlfriends for my sons wedding at Castle Ladyhawke. It is a perfect location to the castle. The price was good and the cabin was beautiful. The owner Kevin was very nice to work with. Would highly recommend

Wonderful stay at Bear Lake Reserve

My husband and I stayed at this great house in Bear Lake Reserve for a long stress free weekend. The house was perfect for the two of us, with a nice Master and Master bath. It also had two additional bedrooms that were very nice, so the house could easily accommodate a family.
We are avid hikers, and found that Bear Lake Reserve offered plenty of easy to very challenging hiking trails. We have been to this area of North Carolina many times and enjoy the neighboring towns and beautiful scenery.

Great family get away!

What a great vacation. The house was exactly as was stated and pictured. It had everything you could
possibly need! Truly a home away from home. The owners are wonderful and very helpful! They gave us great advice before we got there and called to make sure everything was to our liking and ask of we were in need of anything. Love that they truly care that we enjoyed our stay!

The area is stunningly beautiful. If you are looking for some place to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and decompress this is it! So much to do too. We fished in the well stocked ponds with the poles from the house, hiked a different trail everyday, canoed, kayaked, swam in the crystal clear lake, hung out at the pool and had lunch at the Lake Club, golfed and rented a pontoon. Everyone on the property was so nice and helpful! We made so many fabulous family memories here. My husband declared "it one of our best vacations!"

Quiet, beautiful home within hearing of rustling brook

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at this cottage. Cottage is clean and well equipped with all you need for a great vacation. Cottage has a wonderful large back porch There are well kept hiking trails directly across from the cottage with picnic tables, benches and beside a beautiful creek where you could easily wade if you like. If you don't want to cook, you can eat at the lodge where the food is great! Try the shrimp and grits or the salmon. Lunch has many nice selections. The pools are beautiful overlooking the lake. One large pool and a second pool with a slide for the kids--but not an ordinary slide--one build into the bank and made to look natural. Kids love it! A safe place for children to be able to walk and play on their own.

Check it out; you will be soooooo glad you did!
