WATERFRONT, PRIVATE PIER & BOAT SLIP & ELEVATOR - GALVESTON HOME - GREAT FISHING

Our son wanted to go fishing for his 5th birthday, and this place was perfect! We caught plenty of fish and had tons of fun doing so! The house is wonderful and was more than spacious for 8 adults and 2 kids. The layout was optimal for us to sit around and enjoy each others company and come and go fishing as we pleased. The owners thought of every detail, so we had no need to leave and were able to enjoy every minute of our weekend celebration. We can't wait to visit again!

We spent four days at this gorgeous house in September while in town to attend a friend's wedding, and we were so sad to have to leave it! The location right off the causeway is perfect for driving into and out of town, and gave us great access to the Galveston nightlife around the Strand. The channel that the house sits on provided nice boat watching and we even got a private air-show one afternoon of classic planes landing at the airport accross the water.

The owners have done a wonderful job of appointing this house with all of the comforts of home. The colors and decor are soothing and elegant while still retaining a beachy vacation ambiance. I didn't believe that such a tasteful rental existed in Galveston until I saw it with my own eyes. Everyone in our party was very pleasantly suprised. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare family-sized meals, and the large dining table was the perfect place to share lazy breakfasts and elegant dinners.

We had up to nine adults staying in the house, and everyone had plenty of private space and slept very comfortably. This was far preferable to many other vacation rentals that have a nice master but secondary bedrooms that resemble boardinghouse bunk rooms. Even the twin room was comfortable and did not leave the occupant feeling slighted. (Of course, the third floor master is exceptional!)

We loved sitting out on the covered back deck and enjoying the bay breeze and views, but our favorite part was easily the fishing pier. Every night some (or all!) of us stayed up and fished throughout the night under the high-powered fishing lights. In four days, we must have caught a hundred fish! Flounder, redfish, and bay and speckled trout were plentiful, and everyone in our group - even the ladies who never had fished before - caught something! We brought our own fishing gear, but the additional items the owner provided were very thoughtful and much appreciated. It was such an exciting yet relaxing way to reconnect with old friends over a long weekend, and we really appreciated being able to fish whenever the mood struck us from the safety of private property rather than have to go to a public pier or the jetties. We considered bringing a boat, but it wouldn't have even been necessary given how convenient the pier is.

We definitely recommend this rental to others, and can't wait to return again and stay longer. Thanks again for sharing your wonderful home with us!

Working with the owner was easy. She was so nice and very helpful, which we appreciated so much! The home is beautiful and immaculately clean. We had all the amenities that we needed and more. Those who fished loved the dock set-up and had a lot of fun doing that. We enjoyed a delicious trout dinner with their catch. We also loved the closeness to shopping and restaurants, yet still felt that we were out-of-the-way. We also were so glad that it is right off the freeway and easy to get to. Really everything was wonderful and we are hoping that we can get back there again sometime!
