The apartment is quite comfortable and it has just been completely renewed; it is about 70 square meters and includes an entrance with two armchairs where you can relax with the wonderful view of the Medici Chapels right in front of you, a full-equipped kitchen with lunch counter, two bedrooms (one with double bed - or two single beds - plus a sofa bed for one person or two children and the other with a double bed - or two single beds - plus two chair beds), two bathrooms with shower. Every bed rooms has a 32' tv and all the ambient has refined finishes.
Keywords: The flat is located in Piazza Madonna degli Aldobrandini, one of the most beautiful squares of the city, at the first floor with lift of a building adjacent to the Medici Chapels, wonderful Florentine museum that includes the Chapel of the Princes (the mausoleum of the Medici family) and the Michelangelo's New Sacrity. It is quite peaceful and offers unique views on the Chapels.
All the most interesting and important Florentine works of art, churches and museums are walking distance from Piazza Madonna: Duomo and Battistero, Campanile di Giotto, Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Piazza Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, Uffizi, Palazzo Pitti, and the same is for the central train station (SMN) that is also an important terminal for buses and tram lines. The apartment location is ideal for the visitor who aim to absorb the art and history of the city throughout the day and the night wasting no time to go 'home'! I
Mama mia, what a great place and host. The apartment is very modern and clean. It literally abuts the Medici Chapels, which is central to everything. The host was extremely helpful. She even went back and rescued our passports, which we accidentally left in the safe, and brought them to us on the edge of town.
My husband and I stayed here with our three teenage boys, we were welcomed warmly by Ginevra who settled us into the loveliest and cleanest place we stayed in Italy. Kitchen and laundry were fantastic and convenient for family catering - all amenities nearby and and tourist sights within a quick walk. We felt very safe in this apartment and it was nice not to share a bathroom with the boys. As the apartment is at the back of the building, the street noise is minimal. A tip, if sending luggage up or down in the lift unattended, ensure it is packed so that it cannot slide down and block the door from opening, or a technician must come and retrieve it - these are the things that make funny holiday memories! We look forward to staying at Piazza Madonna again.
My husband and I stayed in this lovely apartment in a very convenient and centrally located area of Florence. It was well appointed, had a washing machine that was nice and allowed us to pack lightly, had two large bedrooms and two large baths, and nice a/c for your summer visit. We had hoped to bring our adult children but work got in the way. We had more room than needed, but it was nice to have our own bathrooms and closet and unpack everything. The owner's mother met us to give us the keys and answer questions. The owner, while on vacation, was fast to reply to any questions and suggest places for dinner. The elevator was nice to use when carrying large packages or moving our luggage. There are a couple of nearby grocery stores, a full size refrigerator with freezer, and a 99 cent store steps away for large bottles of cold water! Taxis are just outside the building door for your return to the airport. The Duomo is two blocks in one direction and the San Lorenzo Market is the same distance in the other direction. The location and the hosts made this a top notch rental and we hope to return!
We had a wonderful time staying in this beautiful apartment. This was our favorite place of our whole trip! Such character but updated in all the right places! Even has an elevator to send your bags up in! Kids loved taking it too! Excellent location within walking distance to everything! Would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to all our family and friends!
A very gracious mother welcomed us at night during the worst rainstorm Florence had seen in many years. Light were out throught the center city , ut completely drenched we were greeted by a kindly woman who had anticipated our needs. Throw rugs were down for our wet shoes and a drying rack was available for our clothing. She had placed a lovely glowing red candle in all the rooms to light our way. It was the perfect welcome for a long day's journey. The rooms were oversized with tall ceilings and comfortable beds for our seven family members. Convenient to everything in Florence.
This apartment was absolutely perfect for our time in Florence. I traveled there with three of my friends for a girls trip, and we couldn't have found a better place!
The apartment is clean, comfortable, and exactly as pictured. For four of us, there was plenty of space. We loved hearing the church bells every morning, and the central location made it easy to explore Florence. It's just a 5 - 10 minute walk from the train station, which was how we arrived, but was also the meeting point for several of the tours we took while there, adding to the convenience of the location. We also enjoyed the convenience of the WiFi, washing machine, and hair dryer in the apartment. Benedetta was so helpful and easy to work with from booking to check out.
I'd definitely recommend this apartment to family and friends traveling to Florence. There is a tiny elevator in the building for luggage, but you should be able to walk up a flight of stairs if you rent this apartment.
