About Bob Smoak
When you call or email you will talk with Bob Smoak the property manager. My name is Kent McFarland and I'm the owner. Picture is from riding at Camelot Farms about 15 minutes from Treehouse. They take you on a nice ride to the beach and back.
I live in Roswell, GA and spent most of my career working with Software for Restaurants. Try to get to Fripp as much as possible which means 4 to 8 times a year. Love coming to Fripp to relax but also stay in shape for soccer. Fripp is great place to go for a run, bike on a designated bicycle path, roller blade, swim, or kayak to name some of the things I like to do on Fripp.
Bob Smoak purchased this house in 1991
Why Bob Smoak chose Fripp Island
My parents bought a Treehouse in 1986 which was owned by their neighbors in Roswell. The neighbors like the Fripp area so much they moved to the area so sold their Treehouse to my parents who also fell in love with Fripp. 5 years later the Treehouse next door became available as a fixer upper so I decided to buy it. My Dad and I drove down every weekend for the next 3 months fixing it up and then have been renting it out every since. So please say hello if you see a car in the driveway next door.
What makes this house unique
The Treehouses are very unique. They are Octagon houses built on a pedestal with floor to ceiling glass on most sides. About 30 of them are on a dead end road on Fripp and they are surrounded by the marsh. Only a few are on the rental market, a few are full time residents and the rest are off island owners. This makes it a very quiet part of the island. Makes it easy to escape the rat race while on vacation. The beach is only a short Golf cart ride away.
