Welcome to Thunder Road located at 16 Peppervine Trail! This fantastic 4 bedroom 3.5 bathroom home is an oceanfront retreat made to pamper and cater to every need. Spacious, open decks have plenty of room for all of your guests to enjoy the beautiful ocean views. Inside, enjoy the soaring ceilings and open gathering areas. The kitchen is more than accommodating with all of the standard amenities plus extras, such as double oven and wine cooler. The dining room comfortably seats eight with an additional three at the kitchen bar. The master bedroom, located downstairs, has a king bed and an unbeatable view. The accompanying master bathroom has a deep Jacuzzi tub, private facilities, and large tiled shower with bench seating. There are three additional bedrooms upstairs, two with queen beds and one with two twin beds. Additional amenities include games, DVD / CD / VHS, movies, kids’ toys, fireplace, gas grill, outdoor shower, boogie boards, umbrellas, beach chairs and adult bikes. Thunder Road includes temporary BHI Club access (with golf privileges). Shoals Club access is available for an additional fee. Thunder Road will be your home away from home and welcomes you back to Bald Head Island year after year! (1K / 2Q / 2T, Sleeps 8, 2 Golf Carts)

We loved Thunder Road! Fall is a great time to visit the island...we felt like we had the beach to ourselves! This was a beautiful home with a large open gathering area. The house was great. We did have leaking in the 2nd floor doors and in master bedroom when raining. The golf carts made some funny noises but seemed to work ok. Location was excellent (saw some turtles right in front). In general, the trip was what we hoped.

It gives me great satisfaction knowing that you had the opportunity to enjoy this spactacular Island.I have informed the owner of your comments for their consideration and I am pleased to let you know that they are looking into replacing the two extrior doors on the second floor, which should eliminate the water issue. Property management company was very professional, greeted us upon arrival and sent staff immediately when we had a flat tire on one of our golf carts. However since the property is for sale the owners had rearranged or taken away some of the furnishings (crib, some seating in living room, beach towels) which we had counted on from years past. Given the price increase this was a bit disappointing.

The house is just great and had some of the nicest furniture, linens and baby gear. Unfortuneately we happened to hit it at a week when several of the appliances gave out- dishwasher, dryer, golf cart, grill. We were compensated a bit and it was no one's fault, so I do understand. Some things happened while we were there, but some were pre-existing conditions and it would have been more professional to tell us upon check-in versus leaving us to find the dryer not working after washing our clothes and then not knowing what to do with them. Still a great house and a great time!

This is completely my fault, as I thought I could have those items repaired or replaced prior to a rental. The house now has a new dryer, dishwasher, grill, and batteries for the golf cart.
