Classic mountain chalet with wood floors on an acre of forested land atop Kilauea Volcano. Location is less than five minutes from the gates to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
There are two levels - an upstairs entertainment loft with a large flatscreen television equipped with DVD player and cable, and second bedroom. The loft is furnished with a large lounging sofa and ottomans. Upstairs bedroom has full double bed. Downstairs is the kitchen, dining area, living room, and main bedroom, furnished with a queen size bed, desk, and shelves. French doors from the living room and bedroom lead to the deep lanai and hot tub. The lanai looks out over giant tree ferns and a botanical garden with anthuriums, bromeliads and orchids. A fragrant datura perfumes the air in the evening.
A Bali-style pavilion is up a winding path from the end of the driveway. The pavilion is suited for gatherings & celebrations. Furnished with benches and dramatic firebowls, plus a tiki bar.
The pavilion on the premises is available for your use along with those staying at the chalet with you, during your visit.
If you are interested in holding an event at the pavilion, please let us know in advance. We coordinate weddings and civil unions, and offer every facet in a package. the package may also include a honeymoon stay. Add-ons to the package are available, however, we try to include everything you would wish for to complete an extraordinary celebration. Included is the celebrant, music, flowers, lei, cake, candles, decor, blowing of the conch, even the photography.
the pavilion may also be reserved for private parties such as birthday celebrations.
