It will take you only five minutes (and apprx 50 cents) to arrive at either town or beach. You can also walk into town on the 'old road' passing a magnificent view of the new marina. There are many restaurants within walking distance and many more in Quepos/Manuel Antonio that will fit any budget and any taste. We will be happy to share our favorites with you. Our area offers every water sport imaginable including surfing, paddle boarding, fishing, snorkeling, sea parachute, canopy trails, butterfly farms, horse back riding. About Ann Francois
We are an international couple with Willy born in Normandy, France and Ann from the U.S. We met in beautiful New Mexico over 30 years ago and have been creating beauty and traveling together ever since. We live full time in the mountains of Pennsylvania where we have a design studio, Willan F., producing hand made gifts for government, fine stores, galleries and corporations world wide. For recreation, we dance Argentine Tango! We discovered Manuel Antonio 22 years ago..and it only gets better with age!
Ann Francois purchased this house in 2008
Why Ann Francois chose Manuel Antonio
Since our first visit to Costa Rica in 1992 and with every visit thereafter, we fell more in love with the country, its people and especially with Manuel Antonio. When we first saw the homes of Chaman being constructed with their red roofs, yellow walls,
and tiled swimming pool, our hearts beat faster. Constructed by an Italian contracted, the complex merged European tastes with a feeling of tropical ease. We purchased the last lot of the complex and built our dream living quarters that includes spaciousness, privacy, comfort and...of course...beauty! We were original contributors to the final contours of Chaman, with ts lush gardens, private walls and front gate. It has been a splendid adventure!
What makes this house unique
The area of Manuel Antonio/Quepos is unique in its blend of people from around the world.... USA, Canada, French Canada, France, England, Germany, Italy, Argentina, Middle East and Costa Rica of course. You will find cuisine from each in our vicinity. It's an amazing delight to enjoy this variety of food while looking out over the sea at sunset! The weather is always warm and the sea temperature is perfect. There is never a hurry here....just relax and enjoy life.
Try water sports, horse back riding, nature watching in Manuel Antonio National Park with a guide, a boat trip where you might follow whales and dolphins or get pampered at one of the many luxurious spas...or just inhale the scent of magnolia or ylang ylang. The new marina in Quepos makes one think of Santa Barbara and is open for breakfast, lunch or dinner and take a stroll at the Quepos boardwalk on Friday or Saturday for our fresh farm market or join the festivities of the Quepos horse festival and Miss Quepos contest! There's always something to do in between the maximum relaxation afforded by a stay at our Villa!
