John and Chris came to Panama on an investment tour with some friends in April of 2001.
We were living in western Wyoming, working in the cold long winters and all the snow. We knew that we would not be living there year around after we retired.
We came back to Panama, several times to see what the weather was like at different times of the year.
We had been looking for a place to buy and call home. We now live in Boquete, Chiriqui, de Panama.
Several things we liked about Panama, over other places are you can drink the water if you wish, they use the US money, (so you don't have to have a calculator to figure the price of things). The people are very nice and friendly, English and Spanish are spoken here and the cost of living is less here than in the united States. Also we enjoy the coffee that is grown here in Chiriqui. We take lots of it back fro friends and family.
We love Panama!!!
The Owner purchased this apartment in 2010
We enjoy living in Boquete, but we also like the beach and so do our grown children. This beautiful new condo is only 50 minutes from Panama City, but is out of all the noise and traffic. The beach and pool are not crowded and are very nice.
We are right on the beach, and just love the sound of the ocean waves in the evenings sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine, or if there are several people there just open the doors and use the living room and dinning room and still have the sound of the waves.
I do not like the salt water and there is a swimming pool there with fresh water that I use. There is also a charcoal BBQ grill that you can use.
There are lots of lounge chairs for use in the shade or in the sun.
