House, 3 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8)

Nestled in a private Gulf beach front community, our 3 bedroom, 2 full bath, two-story home provides all the amenities of an elegant home in a tropical paradise. Sunset Captiva #46 is far enough from Captiva Drive to enjoy the quiet and seclusion of Sunset Captiva, and yet close enough for an easy short walk to the pool, beach, and Captiva Village with its many restaurants and shops. Relax on the screened porch after a day at the beach or swimming in the pool. Enjoy dinner prepared on the gas grills next to the pool, or visit one of the restaurants in walking distance or take a short drive to one of the countless restaurants on Sanibel Island.

Our home offers a comfortable well-appointed interior. Privacy is afforded by doors that close off a short hallway that connects a full bath, a bedroom with a queen bed, and a 'kids' bedroom with two twin beds. The master bedroom is on the top floor and includes a queen bed, deck, and full bath. Also on the top floor is a loft with a queen size sofabed. On cooler evenings, you will enjoy our wood burning living room fireplace. Although the house is fully heated and air-conitioned, ceiling fans in the living room and kitchen provide additional comfort. Beach chairs, umbrellas, and countless toys for building sand castles can be found in the shed under the house.

Sunset Captiva is designed for relaxation with opportunities to explore, exercise, and play and equal opportunity to do nothing but rest and relax in a peaceful, tropical paradise.

About The Owner

Tom, a professor of radiology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, with his retired wife Sally. We live just outside of Nashville, TN, under the direction of our seven your old Lhasa Apso Buddy. Our only regret is that we get to Captiva too seldom, but just often enough to assure that our house is perfect condition for our guests.

We started enjoying Captiva three years before we decided to purchase a home. Purchasing assured that we would visit regularly.

What makes this house unique

We have visited all the attractions several times, so that now we simply relax and read as many books as we can. More often than not, we are accompanied by friends.

What a wonderful place... Restful, close to the beach , near the pools and tennis courts. Quick walk to the beautiful sunset beach, near many of the great restaurants on Andy Rosse drive where many of Captivas. Best restaurants are locatead, easy walk via street and beach access. Home is very well kept and clean, stocked with all you need in the kitchen. I recommend this place highly..". May you have apleasantmemory just. Like Ididwithmy girlfriends!

Forget the Real World for a Week or Longer

A perfect house in a great place to get away from hectic every day life. You cross the bridge at Sanibel and you no longer have to deal with stoplights, horns and crazy drivers.This house is a pefect place to relax -- from dining and reading on the porch to sitting in the sun on the upper deck. I have walked for miles along the beach, sat by the pool, cooked on the grills and watched the manatees from the bayside dock. A must is a kayak trip through Ding Darling wildlife preserve. I have already planned my next visit for late May, 2012.
