We had a fabulous time in South Haven. Roberta was very easy to contact and very accommodating. This was our first visit to this property, but we have been to South Haven many times. The power went out the day we arrived and she went out of her way to make sure we were okay and even offered to put us up in a hotel. Thankfully it came on late that night. We had nice weather for the most part and beautiful sunsets. The screened in back porch was wonderful. One day we just read, napped and enjoyed cocktails on the couch and relaxing porch swing. The access to the beach was so easy. The house is about 3 houses from the main road (quiet) which you cross and then walk down some steps to a small quiet beach. Roberta has a wagon which works great to get your stuff to the stairwell. The place is very homey and has easy access to the beach, town, and the highway. It is well stocked with anything you could possibly need. It was just my husband and I, but there is a nice yard and fire pit area that would be great for kids and a larger group. There are a couple of things that I missed (but not a big deal): a dishwasher, an ice maker and more counter space in the bathroom. Overall it was a very pleasant stay and very reasonable-I would love to be sitting on the porch swing, reading a good book and enjoying a glass of wine right now - waiting to walk to the beach to watch the beautiful sunset!!
This was our second year at Haven of Bliss and it was great. The owner is very nice to deal with. The house is clean and bright and so close to the beach. It is stocked with everything you'll need besides a few groceries. Make for a stress free trip!
This was a great and relaxing place to stay. Our family enjoyed every minute of it. It's only a short walk to the beach and my husband and I walked every morning into town!
The owner, Roberta, is a joy to work with and has thought of everything to make your stay a wonderful experience. We loved the hammock, fire pit and our favorite-the screened porch. We played games everynight out there. Wish we would have found this cottage years ago! We will book again:)
After staying in a lot of crappy rentals in the area, this one is a really nice clean, close to everything, kind of a place. It is in a very quiet neighborhood tucked away from the downtown noise, but so close we could walk to the beach every day. The owner Roberta is very easy to work with and very accommodating. Her cottage is so well stocked, you don't need anything but your clothes. Would recommend this rental to anyone, ooops, maybe not, then it won't be available when we want to come back up. Rent early, it is usually booked by January.
This was a great place to relax, close to the beach and downtown. Cottage had every amenity we could ask for. Owner was very concerned that we have a good stay and was very accommodating.
This cottage was just perfect for my husband and I visiting the area for a weekend wedding. The owner was very accommodating and easy to work with. The property is very clean and inviting. We loved sitting on the porch swing on the screened in porch. We brought our bikes along and rode into South Haven every day. The town is very bike friendly and easy to get around. We will be back!!!!
