My daughter and I stayed at Len's wonderful guest house for three nights as part of a week vacation for her 20th birthday. Len is the ultimate host - providing information and hospitality. The guest house is very comfortable like a home away from home. The BIG plus - access to a washer and dryer - always welcome when traveling! Great hot tub, private patio that's a nighttime paradise, complete with table, chairs, settee, twinkle lights in the trees and a gas heater. Having a kitchen saved me $$ as we cooked in for breakfast and dinner one night. The location is very convenient to see the area and easy access into LA for sightseeing. I highly recommend this guest house! Looking forward to a return trip in my future.
What a fantastic gem this place is! The place is beautiful, clean and quiet and so amazing. Santa Monica is such a great place as it is and staying here just makes you feel like you are home. The location is great only a few blocks from a fantastic beach and Len has bikes that come in mighty handy. For all the amenities that are provided as well as the comfort of not being in a hotel you cannot beat the price. We rode the bikes every day, there is a great path along the beach that takes you right to Venice beach. It was so lovely and Len was so helpful and informative and friendly I would recommend this place 1000 times over again.
I was coming into Santa Monica for a wedding. I'm not a big fan of hotels - I hate to eat out all the time and I've found that hotels are as expensive as renting a condo or house. Since it was only me, I wanted a small place and this guesthouse was just perfect. It was close to the beach and had a bus stop within a block. There was a full kitchen with all the amenities, and a lovely private patio. If you don't mind walking, there's a Starbucks and grocery store about 1.5 miles away and excellent restaurants close by. Len was available and very helpful with questions about the area and guesthouse. I plan on staying there again if I'm in the area!
My daughter and I stayed here on her first trip to LA/Santa Monica and although we had a car, we didn't really need it for Santa Monica. Great location to the beach, Third St. Promenade and some great little restaurants within a 5 min. walk. Len is wonderful to work with, prompt, friendly, professional and wants you to enjoy your stay. The little cottage is wonderful, updated, charming and has everything you need. The outdoor patio is gorgeous - strung with little lights and perfect for a Santa Monica evening. We loved it and will stay at the guest house on our next visit.
We had a lovely stay. I was in town for work, but also brought my husband and 9 month old daughter. The accommodations were great for the three of us and the patio was super. We didn't use the loft, but really appreciated the open studio area and large closet. Communicating with the owner was a dream: very prompt, friendly and courteous. The owners couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. I felt like it was a good price for the amenities and location. Street parking was always available. We're hoping it will be available again if we return in the fall.
My five friends and I had a great time here. Even though it was a bit cramped for 6 people, the location was great and the place had everything we needed! Thanks Len!
Did you know that Forbes' list of property value zip codes in the United States has our area as ranked 30th? That's right. The Santa Monica Canyon, zip code 90402 is ranked 30th in the entire US for home values. The values here are incredible and everyone wants to be in the Santa Monica Canyon. Spend your vacation in one of the most desirable areas in all of Los Angeles. Just 3 blocks from the beach, 5 minutes to the world famous Santa Monica Pier and Third Street Promenade and walking distance to many good restaurants. This is a real gem; quiet and serene, yet close to everything.
