A Vieques Island favorite, the beautiful estate villa of La Quinta Jacaranda is on over an acre of land in the tranquil Puerto Real area overlooking the Caribbean and is just a five minute drive to the beach at Sun Bay, the shops and restaurants in Esperanza. The large land parcel affords great privacy and the lush gardens in a perfect tropical setting. The spacious home includes expansive indoor and outdoor living spaces, a gourmet kitchen and formal dining. Three bedrooms and two and a half baths comfortably accommodate up to eight people. The home is family friendly and children are welcome. Next to the large swimming pool is a covered gazebo with dining and bar. Patio furniture and appliances have been recently updated and the deck has been replaced.

Fit For A King

The house, location and landscape were everything we could have asked for.
It was hard to decide whether to stay home any enjoy the house or go to the beaches and explore.We did a lot of both.
The house was wonderfully inviting,decorated and accessorized to feel like home.
It was very roomy had anything you would ever need . The kitchen was over and above equipped for cooking either indoors or out.
The pool and many various seating areas were beautiful and very comfortable.
The views are splendid so we spent all out time outdoors. The breeze was perfect,
Keeping the bugs away and no need for air conditioning.
My favorite part of the house was that the french doors opened out from all the rooms, bringing in the breezes and views. To wake in the morning and see the sun rising with the curtains flowing in the wind was just the best.
The house was very private and the grounds were lovely.
The sound system was great and piped throughout the house and outside deck areas. The bedrooms and baths were nicely done and having the washer and dryer
was a big plus.
The location was very convenient to the beaches and town of Esperanza.
We explored a different beach each day and would check out the goings on in town.
Julie and Renee were extremely helpful with anything we needed and answering
all of our questions about where to go to do whatever it was we were interested in.
I would highly recommend this home to anyone visiting whether it be a couple,family
or group of friends.

Even Better the Second Time Around

We stayed at Quinta Jacaranda in 2006 and loved the property, so on our return trip this year decided to stay there again. The current owners have made some very nice improvements. Very comfortable living room furniture and outdoor furniture was added. The view and pool are great. Well equipped kitchen and really great sound system throughout. We ventured to different beaches each day with Blue Beach and Sun Bay being our favorites. The supplied chairs and cooler were well used! The Island has changed some, but mostly for the better in my opinion. The beaches are more easily accessible and there are more and better dining options.

We ate at Next Course twice which was very nice. Great food and service. Other restaurants we dined at were TradeWinds, El Quenepo, Duffy's. The food at TradeWinds was very good and less expensive. El Quenepo's food was fabulous, but service was extremely slow took two hours to serve our entree. Duffy's good casual bar, but bartender was aloof.

We used the grill outdoors a few times and were able to get good produce at the farmer's market. The property manager let us have late checkout as our flight was going out at 5 PM. It was nice to not have to rush out. We had some minor issues at the house, but nothing we could not deal with. We loved this location and property and will stay here again when we return to this awesome island!

Great Stay, and Plan to Return!

I really enjoyed La Quinta Jacaranda. We had originally intended to rent another house on the north side of Vieques where we have stayed several times before, but this house turned out to be even more enjoyable then the previous one. In my mind, I always think houses in the Caribbean should look be built in the classic Bermuda style so I found the architecture of this house a little different. The interior layout however is classic -- airy, breezy living room with lots of windows on three sides, the bedrooms off a wide hallway and best of all, a wonderful, expansive, southward facing terrace that immediately draws you out for the view over the green countryside and the Caribbean Sea. The house was very clean and well maintained, and the sizable yard nicely landscaped with beautiful tropical foliage. We very much liked the furniture, finding it very comfortable and in good shape, including the beds which seemed to have very high quality mattresses. We also really appreciated the numerous beach chairs and quality snorkel equipment. In sum, great house, and highly recommend it.

Excellent stay!

We had an excellent stay at this house. I was initially a little bit concerned because, at the time of booking this place, there were not many recent reviews of the house. But I booked anyway and am very happy I did!

This house is impressive. It really is what you see in the pictures and is fully, fully equipped. The kitchen has tons of dishes, serving platters, cooking utensils, etc.

There is an amazing sound system that is wired through the house including the master bedroom, kitchen, living/dining areas, and poolside. And you can control the volume in each area separately.

All the doors open up and the house feels really open an airy. The outdoor space by the pool is amazing for lounging and having meals.

The bedrooms are perfect and the master bathroom is really big! Lots of towels, including plenty of beach towels. There is even a washer/dryer in case it is necessary to do a load while you are there.

The house is clean and very well maintained. The location is excellent, and we felt very safe on this property. There is even an electric gate at the entrance of the property.

We loved the house and would recommend it to anyone going to Vieques!

Every Comfort of Home!

We really enjoyed our stay at Quinta Jacaranda. The property is exactly as shown in the pictures & we were very pleased upon arrival. Fabulous Kitchen for cooking & great space for entertaining. Everything we needed was right at our fingertips, from place settings, to cooking utencils - this place had it all. The living room/dining room is huge - great set up for a large party of guests. Plus - the outdoor space is great. What a view! We weren't expecting the ocean views & that was a treat!
The beds are very comfortable, as was all the furniture in the house. Air Conditioning was not necessary to turn on - the house is perched up on a hill & gets trade winds coming through it thanks to the many windows. So the indoor temp was ideal. Unfortunately the pool is not heated. The water was too chilly to really enjoy hanging out in the pool - but besides that, everything was perfect!
