Farmhouse, 4 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 8-10)

Smack dab between Northeast Harbor (5 min) and Bar Harbor (10 min) this fully renovated Maine home has all the comforts of a new home with all the charm of a historic maine farmhouse. Giant tub and rain shower downstairs, spa shower with dual water heads upstairs, fully stocked chef's kitchen, granite fireplace are among the features to make your stay comfortable.

The home is conveniently located on Sound drive on a 1.75 wooded acre lot with a beautiful flower garden, mature lilac bushes and crabapple trees. A short walk along Sound Drive to the entrance of the giant slide trail brings you directly into Acadia National Park for hiking and a five minute ride in either direction brings you to Eagle Lake or Upper Hadlock for biking. Acadia at your fingertips!

After a day of hiking and popovers at the Jordan Pond House, put your lobsters on to boil while the family gathers around the square dining table (seats 8, dishes, silver and linens for 12-16) then its over to the fireplace for drinks, snacks and games or choose a movie from the huge dvd selection... A perfect end to a perfect day in Acadia...

3 bedrooms with 2 queen size beds and 1 full size bed and gorgeous linens sleep two each and share a full bathroom. The upstairs bedroom has its own half bath and has two twin trundle beds that can sleep one each or can pop up to sleep two each. An additional full bath with separate bathing area and claw foot tub with rain shower is located on the first floor.

A truly comfortable and serene home, well behaved pets will be considered.

About The Owner

I am a professional private chef that travels with with my clients throughout the year. My home is an extension of my personality and I enjoy sharing it and its energy with fellow travelers. I have lived and worked in Northeast Harbor for almost twenty years and think it one of the most beautiful places on the east coast. Come find out for yourself!

The Owner purchased this farmhouse in 2003

I started my career as a chef on yachts and landed in Northeast Harbor time and time again. It was so beautiful I bought a home here!

What makes this farmhouse unique

For me, having access to Acadia for hiking and biking during the summer and fall and cross country skiing, hot baths and crackling fires in the winter is why I love my home. I love having my friends over for dinner and games but enjoy jumping into Bar Harbor for pizza and a movie at Reel Pizza equally as much. Taking a boat out the Isleford and having Lobster at the dock after visiting the art gallery or poking around the shops in Northeast Harbor...it is all a true delight!

Additional information about rental rates

50% deposit is required with a signed contract to hold the week. The remainder and security fees are due 30 days before the rental The cancellation policy is very strict with deposits only returned in the event I can rent the week to another guest.
Fees And Taxes My rates have not changed in several years. Per week in June: $1400, July $1700, August $2000, September $1500, October $1500. However, my cleaning fee is now at $200 per turnover as this is what it costs to turn the house over thoughtfully.

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (USD) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.
