Watch the sun set over the gulf from this secluded beachfront home on Manasota Key with a pristine private beach. The property stretches from the gulf to the bay, and includes both a gulf beach and a private boating/fishing dock on Lemon Bay. A wooden cat walk connects your front door to the gazebo on the gulf.
This luxury home with modern amenities includes four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a large dining room, large living room (with large screen television), well appointed kitchen and a lanai. The upstairs master bedroom has a private bath and king bed. The upstairs also hosts two guest bedrooms (one with a king bed, one with two twin beds) that share a second bathroom. Another master bedroom on the first floor has a private bath with jetted tub and a queen bed. The whole house is on stilts, with private parking underneath and an elevator to make first floor access easy.
Adults and children alike can enjoy swimming, shelling, collecting sharks teeth, and viewing the native wildlife such as dolphins, pelicans, herons, and of course the gopher tortoise that lives in the back yard. Enjoy drinks on the gazebo while watching your children build sand castles while the sun sets over the gulf. Fish for Red Fish, Snook, Snapper and Sheephead. In the summer, you may even see sea turtles make their nests on the beach.
Fishing poles are provided, along with a hammock at the gazebo and portable beach chairs. Extra housekeeping can be provided as often as you wish for an extra charge.

We built this house in 1977 as a family vacation house, and for a while it became our year-round residence. We love the natural Florida experience, with undisturbed beaches and native wildlife.
We absolutely loved this vacation house. You cannot ask for a nicer location on the beach. The catwalk from the house to the beach is dense with trees on either side and VERY private and quiet. Swimming was AWESOME with the sandy bottom and gradual drop off. We swam every morning up and down the beach. Heaven! The house itself has tons of room and is very comfortable AND very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with spices and extras like coffee filters, olive oil, etc. Clearly this house was someone's home with nice touches all around and tons of books. I think the photo of the front of the house doesn't do it justice. We would definitely stay here again! Hopefully, they will keep renting it. :)
This house, with all its aging issues, turned out to be a fabulous beach house for us and visiting friends and family. It has lots of different places to perch and a beautiful stretch of beach at the end of a fun cat walk. The owner responded immediately to all our questions and requests.
The location is gorgeous. We'd do it again.
We made a road trip from Wash DC as temps hit single digits there and on arrival in Manasota Key found sun and warmth
and a great time in this veritable "tree house." set as it is amid
dense growth of palms and gnarled oaks. There are peek-a-boo views of the Gulf with full views quickly reached by walkway from main floor. Very beautiful beach and waters, unspoiled and nearly empty of other people most days. The property's walkway features a
Gazebo just before beach that allows shaded views in day and clear sunset views in eve.
House is amply stocked with all one might need.
Temps chilled a bit during our stay but
beach was still wonderful for walks several
times a day.
Nature preserves on the Key and nearby
afforded us great adventures seeing baby
Bald Eagle and parent in nest, seemingly
tame scrub jays, herons, sandpipers,
pelicans, turtles. Lovely peace and quiet.
We hope to return again with our Bkack Lab for longer stay!
My family (which included our 2 yr. old grand child) spent a wonderful 2 weeks at Manasota Key. The house was perfect. Lots of room so no one is getting in each others way. (4 full bathrooms a BIG plus!) Everything was clean and orderly and ready for us on our arrival. The owners were very helpful and friendly. If you run into any problem at all, someone is there to take care of it right away.
The kitchen is great---tons of room for more than one cook to work on meals. And the dining room is enormous.
The Living room is very comfortable for lots of people to sit, watch TV, relax with a book, whatever. It's actually bigger than the photos show.
Bedrooms were lovely and spacious. 2 master suites made everyone quite comfortable. Really. The photos do not do the house justice.
Something to keep in mind...this is an older house. It was someone's HOME. Part of the charm is that it doesn't feel like a hotel room. It is clean and welcoming. It sits between the Gulf and Lemon Bay, so the location is amazing. Because of the natural foliage and walkway leading to the private beach, you feel like you are on your own island.
This was our first family vacation in a very long time, and we loved every minute. We'll be back.
Out of all of our family vacations, this one was by far the best. The private beach and water was amazing, the house was well maintained and had a lot of character. We were initially a little worried after reading some of the previous reviews, but our worries were unfounded.
This is an amazing house. Yes it is a little outdated, but that is what gives this beach house its character. It's was very obviously a family's primary home or vacation home and they have taken very good care of it. The wildlife here was amazing. From the dolphins jumping off the beach to the sea turtle that we found crawling up the sand late at night.. every bit of it left lasting memories that our family will remember for years to come.
We will definitely be booking this same house again next year. Thank you for letting us make some great memories in your home!
We had a great time at the "Beach House". Elevator to the 1st floor a Plus. Listing description & photos accurate & the owner helpful. Home well-stocked with amenities and all enjoyed the beach finding hundreds of shark teeth. King bed upstairs was extremely comfortable. Needs foliage trimmed a bit & dead branches cleaned up along walk-way to the beach, perhaps getting a better view of the beach. Sunsets were awesome & we had sunny weather every day. A little problem with termites swarming but the bug man came & fixed the problem. Would recommend this beach house for a great time.
