This charming two bedroom, two bathroom ground floor garden flat is an ideal base for exploring London. All on one level it is ideal for people who find steps difficult. It is not suitable for very young children (although fine for babies). Situated in Parsons Green an up-market area of central London, close to the Kings Rd Chelsea, this quiet garden flat is round the corner from excellent transport facilities, restaurants and shops.

The sitting room with original period features and gas coal fire has a 4'6'' sofa bed.

The spacious kitchen/dining room is fully equipped and the whole flat is air-conditioned, which after a day of site-seeing on a boiling hot day comes as a welcome relief. The flat has two intercommunicating bedrooms, each independently accessed with their own bathrooms, both bedrooms have digital TV. The main bedroom has double doors directly onto the patio and garden, ideal for al-fresco dining. The patio has steps leading down to a small enclosed garden which is full of fragrant plants and flowers. An oasis on a hot summer's day.

Please note, as a home furnished and equipped for adults, the flat is not suitable for small children.

Keywords: Two minutes from Parsons Green Tube station and a bus stop, ideal location for South Kensington Museums, Picadilly, and West-end theatres, Harrods and all central London attractions. We moved down the road from Chelsea into this area nearly thirty years ago and have always been too happy here to move. We spend quite a lot of time in the countryside or travelling abroad, so we decided to let the flat out for short periods when we were away.

Sue Gamblin purchased this apartment in 1982

I got to know the area well when I lived in Chelsea and felt it was more convenient as far as transport and reasonably priced restaurants were concerned. Both the particular stretch of the Fulham Rd around the corner and Parsons Green (opposite the tube station) have become a thriving, vibrant up-market 'village' within central London, popular with professionals

Parsons Green is an ideal place to live. Not only are there excellent public transport facilities to access all London has to offer, but also easy access internationally via Eurostar or Heathrow and Gatwick airports.

Local facilities are excellent with numerous grocery stores, restaurants and shops all on your doorstep. There are several parks and the river's towpath for walkers/joggers/runners.

It is unusual for an apartment in this area of London to have a garden of this size. It is remarkably quiet and an ideal place to sit out in the morning for breakfast, or in the evening with a drink, watching the sun go down.

Girlie gathering from around the UK so enjoyed this wonderfully comfortable and fantastically well equipped garden flat. Super location and ideal for all our theatre/museum/restaurant/shopping destinations! Beds blissfully comfy with beautiful linens and bathrooms modern and spotless with upmarket toiletries. Elegant Victorian-style sitting room, perfect for relaxing in after a hectic daily itinerary. Next time we'll book in over the summer to fully enjoy the delights of the gorgeous cottage garden and
evening drinks on the terrace.

Charming Home Near the Heart of it All!

Our travel party of two adult couples had the pleasure to enjoy this lovely “home away from home” for one week in August 2013. Sue clearly takes pride in her home and providing a quality experience to guests. From the air conditioning (a rarity in England!) to the Molton Brown bath products (a sumptuous treat!) to the selection of music CDs and reading materials, this flat provides a welcomed haven.

Although a bit farther out (easily 30-40 minutes by tube to London central), the Parson’s Green station is a convenient 5 minute stroll from the flat. A charming neighborhood which provides a calming residential feeling, save the fleet of Heathrow-bound jetliners which streams overhead every 30-45 seconds – really! – approximately 18 hours a day (sleeping hours were blissfully quiet, however).

Sue does an excellent job providing tourist materials, including take-away menus from local restaurants. We experienced the pleasures of Nuntee Thai three times in our week there! Great food and a 3 minute walk to the flat!

We appreciated that Sue was there to personally greet us when we arrived to give a go-through of the flat, including how-to operations, WiFi set-up, etc. On our second night, a light bulb in the living room blew, taking out a fuse and shutting down many other fixtures. We called Sue’s mobile and shewas there within 30 minutes, happily fussing with the fuse box while chatting about our day’s activities. We were grateful for her quick response, smiling service, and overall helpfulness.

I will say that the living room furnishings were not necessarily the most comfortable (by American standards, at least), simultaneously overstuffed yet unyielding; perhaps a refresh is in order. Task/ambiance lighting in the living room was also lacking (floor lamps, table lamps, etc.) These are *very* minor concerns in the grand scheme, but nonetheless observations that all four of us commented on.
Sue had helpfully pre-arranged ground transportation from Heathrow to the flat via a local agency. Although quoted a price, we wished we had also been informed this was a cash-only transaction. Thinking to get a better conversion rate, none of us had taken out cash at the airport. When I presented my credit card to the driver for the fare at drop off, it was summarily dismissed. With no knowledge of the neighborhood or ATM locations, we had to ask the driver to take us to a bank. Embarrasing and an unnecessary hassle.

Overall, highly recommend and hope to return!

We all enjoyed this flat - it is in a trendy neighborhood with lots of good restaurants nearby and the tube is just around the corner with easy access to central London! It was hot and we were lucky to have air conditioning. The interior decor is lovely and cozy. The bathrooms are modern and clean. We would stay here again.

The Perfect Flat

If you are searching for a holiday flat in London, look no further. This is the perfect choice for many reasons. My wife, two teenage daughters, and I recently spent a week at the Garden Flat, while touring the sights of London. The flat is in an ideal location. A short 3-minute walk to Parson's Green tube station takes you anywhere in the city quickly. Nine stops along the District Line and you are at Westminster. The surrounding neighbourhood is quiet, safe, and full of restaurants, pubs, quaint shops, and grocery stores. Nothing is far away.The flat, itself, is ideal. It contains a cozy sitting room with ample seating, and a well-equipped kitchen. Everything is of a high standard, right down to the bed linens and bathroom amenities. We felt right at home in the flat. It was wonderful to return to its comfort after a long day out touring the city.It is obvious that the owner, Sue, takes pride in her flat. She was very kind and helpful. She contacted us during our stay to make sure everything was fine and to answer any further questions we may have had. I highly recommend this flat to anyone who is considering a visit to London.

Wonderful Flat

We (four adults) just spent 5 days at this special garden flat. The location is perfect for it is only 2 blocks from the Parsons Green tube station. There are also many great restaurants and grocery stores in the neighborhood though the block the flat is on is quite quiet. The beds were very comfortable. We woke up early every morning for it was difficult to block out all of the morning sun coming into the skylights in the second bedroom with the double bed. Helpful owner. We appreciated being met at the airport with a car.

The Parsons Green area is like living in an English village in the centre of London, with it's parks, churches, pubs, shops and restaurants all on your doorstep. Step out of your home into a very up-market area of boutique shops ,food stores and excellent, reasonably priced restaurants. Maybe call in to the iconic London pub 'The White Horse' situated on Parsons Green and try an English 'pint' before having dinner at one of the many restaurants that are situated within 3-4 minutes of the apartment. There are also five supermarkets within a 5 minute walk so if you prefer eating on the terrace in the fragrantly planted garden, you won't have to carry your groceries far.
