San De Luna #7 is a completely remodeled condo. The downstairs kitchen/living area has 20' Spanish tile with a chef's kitchen featuring a huge granite bar for a seating of 6-8. The kitchen proudly displays all (new) stainless Kitchen Aid appliances with an oven, microwave, huge commercial grade fridge, main sink and a vegetable sink along with a stand alone ice maker/wet bar area. The kitchen has nice glassware, flatware, cookware and any cooking utensil for the pickiest of chefs.
The living room has a tv/dvd/vcr combo and stereo along with a huge leather sectional sleeper/sofa with two built in recliners. The condo also has a front deck along with a partially covered back deck for a novel, inspiring view.
The second story offers the guest bedroom and master, both of which have comfortable, pillow top mattresses. The view from the master overlooks the intercostal waterway, which connects Mobile, Al. to Apalachicola, Fl. so watching ships pass in the night is common. The master has a walk-in closet as well as a large garden tub/shower featuring jets and chromatherapy lighting. The TV is a pivotal, flat screen, mounted high on the wall for enjoyable viewing from either the bed or tub areas.
The guest bed room has a beautiful view of the Gulf Of Mexico and the Beach. It features a high mounted TV/VCR/DVD combo, closet, Deluxe Queen size pillow top bed with tub/shower combo and a large granite sink area.
The third floor is the loft area tailored for adults or kids. It features a reading area, TV/VCR/DVD combo along with toys, books and games and full size bed. The loft also features a lockable pocket door for privacy.
Did we mention that San De Luna is a water front condo, which makes anchoring your boat or jets skis, in a viewable area from the condo a plus! San De Luna #7 is within 30' of the pool/tennis court area and your own personal hammock awaits.
San De Luna #7 has a bike path on the south side or entrance side of the property running east and west for miles. Though the condo sits on the sound/north side of the island, the Gulf of Mexico is just 200 yards to the South with an unobstructed view and which makes for an easy walk over. The South side of the Property is adjacent to the Gulf Islands National Seashore, making this one of only a few complexes on the Gulf Coast where you have unobstructed views and walkovers to both the gulf and ICW (intercoastal waterways).
San De Luna sits on the far west end of Pensacola Beach, making this a less traveled and a more secluded location.
Always great to stay here. Perfect for young families w/young kids... Shallow waters,no currents-also great for older kids across the street for body surfing and the regular surf of the gulf!! Tons of ghost crabs on both sides for catching/releasing after dark!!
The location of this condo is perfect. With water on both sides, it is a great place for beach walkers, shell collectors, wind-surfers, and sun-bathers. At first the condo seemed smaller than I expected, but it was actually quite spacious, once I got used to having 3 stories of space stacked on each other. Beautiful views on both sides.
Everything about the condo was outstanding. Property was accurately depicted online, and the place was very clean. The owner was so accommodating by allowing us to check in one day early. The kitchen and jacuzzi were spectacular. This is an excellent vacation spot with privacy.
We live in Pensacola, so we are familiar with the difference beaches here. We prefer the beach directly across from this condo because it tends to be a little quieter and less crowded. If you are looking for a quiet, restful beach trip, it would be hard to beat this location.
As for the condo itself, it was very nice. The pool is fantastic, and the condo association keeps the grounds in tip top shape. The condo kitchen is nicely done (the separate ice maker is handy), and it has just about every type of kitchen utensil that you might need during your stay. The view of the sound from the living room and master bedroom is very nice and relaxing. The beds are surprisingly comfortable.
Finally, when we had a problem with the lock on the front door of the condo, the owners were very responsive. I can't say for sure, but I doubt that we would have as quickly received a response from a condo management company. There is something to be said for renting from local people (who we did not previously know) who take pride in their property.
Overall, our time at the condo was a great experience!
Great location as it is near the end of the beach and there is not a lot of traffic. Also located in close proximity to several good restaurants and the Boardwalk. The ocean is just across the street from the front deck of the condo and the swimming pool and bay are off the back deck. Unit was very clean, and nicely furnished and had an ample supply of dishes, towels, appliances, etc. We, too, really enjoyed the separate ice machine. The owners were very helpful in getting the paperwork done for the booking. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the future.
Every aspect of this condo is fabulous! The listing for this condo was exact, everything was exactly how it was described and viewd in the pictures. The condo was clean, kitchen had EVERY thing you need to cook with, the ice maker was VERY useful!! The toaster broke and the owner brought us a new one the same day! The owners were fantastic they provided us with plenty of information about things to do, places to see and they very pleasurable to work with. Everything was great! Would most definetly recommend this condo and we will return :)
