Charming chalet - 3- 4 bedrooms + loft area - sleeps 10-12

Charming, log-sided chalet with a real country flair and modern amenities. Quintessential country look with lots of curb appeal on a quite, isolated cul-de-sac provides additional peace and quiet and privacy.

Located in the 'Lakeside' section of Masthope, the chalet is private, yet close to the boat launch and beach area, and within few minutes drive to the Summit Lodge and all Masthope's numerous amenities.

Chalet: Open and airy 2-level chalet with rich, architectural details. Real, solid wood combines with modern, contemporary colors and furnishings to create a warm and inviting environment.

The main level offers 3 bedrooms, main bath, kitchen, dining area, mud/storage room and direct access to the full front deck via two sliding glass doors.

The second level offers a second, very spacious living & gaming area. A queen sleeper sofa and french pocket doors let it serve as a 4th bedroom or just provide a sense of privacy from any activities on the main level.

The spacious & airy loft overlooks the main living area and has a gaming table area and a pull-out double futon. It can also be used as sleeping for additional guests or for just a quiet moment looking out the 2-story windows.

The house is equipped with new modern and comfortable furnishings. Two high-def TVs with extended cable and wireless internet keep you connected.

Ski: Ski Big Bear at Masthope Mountain

Ski Big Bear offers 18 trails, 6 lifts including 2 Magic Carpet lifts, and 650' of vertical. The mountain is covered annually with approximately 50 inches of snow. When Mother Nature isn't sending snow our way, our snowmakers make sure the trails are blanketed with as much snow as possible. Our trails offer something for every ability.

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (US Dollar) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

Notes

  • First payment = rental fee/cleaning/tax which will secure booking.

    Second payment - $500 refundable security/damage deposit. Due 2 weeks before check-in.

    The security/damage deposit will be returned within 10 business days after check-out following a house inspection and confirmation that there there is no damage or other outstanding issue (ex. speeding or other citations from Masthope security).

    6% Pennsylvania tax.
  • Renter Guest passes are required to make use of Masthope amenities of any kind. They are not included in the rental fee and are paid directly to the the Masthope Administrative office when picking up the passes. Names of all occupants must match the names sent to the owner for re

    Fees are outlined below:

    1. Administration fee:

    Based on # of nights of rental:
    - up to 3 nights - $50.00
    - 4 to 7 nights - $75.00
    - 8 to 30 nights - $100.00.

    2. Daily Fee:

    There is no daily fee for the first 8 rental/guest passes. Up to 4 additional passes are available at a cost of
    $5/day per pass. The maximum number of passes is 12, which is also the limit on the numner of guest
    occupants in the house at any Masthope proprerty.

    3 Refundable Deposit:

    A $25.00 refundable deposit is required for the rental/guest passes, which will be refunded when the passes
    are returned.

  • There are 3 'formal' bedrooms. The large, second living/game area on the upper-level can be closed off using the pocket doors and has a queen sleeper sofa. There is also room there for use of an air mattress provided with the rental w/ pump. The loft area has one side with a double futon which can be used for extra guests. If need be, the second part of the loft area is certainly large enough for another air mattress or sleeping bags which guests can bring with them.

This house was perfect for our large group. The home was very clean, organized and stocked with all the necessary items. The chalet is less than 10 minutes from Big Bear. The owner left detailed information about the area, running the house, contact information, etc. Kurt was very accommodating when we had to contact him regarding a small issue which was resolved within minutes. We would stay here again and would recommend this home to friends and family.

Kurt's home is very comfortable and decorated beautifully. It had everything you needed. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and at the grill. My kids enjoyed the upstairs room which is very roomy. The bedrooms and living room were very comfortable as well. The outside deck was a great place for morning coffee and cocktail hour. We even had a couple of fires at the fire pit which was fun. I would recommend this home for a short or long stay. I do believe Kurt thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable.

Beautiful Home, Clean and roomy for all .we had six teens staying ,and never heard them downstairs, I will definitely be renting this house again.. The Owner gives you very quick replies to any of your questions. Had one of the best experiences renting here..L Dessert
