MARCO BEACH OCEAN RESORT OCEAN VIEW RENTAL

I am going to start with the condo unit first.

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by how nice and clean the unit was. No complaints could be made regarding the condo. Very quiet and laid back atmosphere throughout the property. The walk to the beach takes about 5 minutes and at first was a little confusing but easy to figure out. The pool was kind of on the smaller side however it was pretty empty when we were there so it wasn't a concern to us. The onsite beach restaurant and poolside bar/restaurant are typical of a resort (average food, and overpriced drinks) but not a concern as you can go to the grocery store and get your own food and drinks for lunch.

Marco Island;

With regards to Marco Island there isn't to much to do; except pool and beach everyday. We did get a chance to do Captain Rons Awesome Everglades Adventure and although a little pricey it is defiantly worth every penny and I highly suggest during your stay. The restaurants were somewhat disappointing. Almost all the restaurants we went to were shopping plaza restaurants and were disappointing, if you sit out on the patio of the restaurants you get a parking lot view. The only restaurants with beach views or tropical views were the restaurants within the Hotels on the main beach. We stayed away from these restaurants as we didn't want spend $$$ for what we assumed was moderate food by the reviews we read on the restaurants. Despite the average restaurant experience we still very much enjoyed are stay. We went to the Island for the warm weather and the beach and that is exactly what we got.

I am giving the unit itself 5 stars an excellent rating. The communication with the owner was outstanding and made the rental process very easy!
