RELAXING GETAWAY IN FEDERAL WAY

We stayed at Mirror Lake while visiting in the area. The cottage was clean and well appointed. We brought our inflatable kayak and rowboat, and enjoyed time on the lake.

Nice setting, easy to get to from I-5 corridor in King or Pierce counties, very comfortable and nicely decorated, amenities (movies, etc.) nearby. Feel like you are in the country without leaving the country.

We were two couples in the area for a family gathering - and this cottage turned out to be perfect for our stay. It was spotless and all appliances were in working order, kitchen well-equipped, plenty of towels and nice linens. Since it was in January (and freezing in fog) the lakeside location was wasted on us - though it was pretty and we did see a bald eagle fly over the lake. In the summer I think it would be charming, a great place to enjoy a lazy afternoon.

The cottage is an excellent size for two couples as long as having one shower doesn't bother you. We were on a free schedule and not particularly fussy so it was fine for us. We would also have preferred more seating in the living room; during the time of the visit there was as single couch in the living room, so we brought two dining chairs in when all four of us wanted to gather around.

The property owner was responsive and we felt confident in making our arrangements.

We will definitely make use of this property for visiting family again. It's in between Seattle and Tacoma so either city could be easily reached. You cannot beat this cute cottage for price and setting in this area.
