OFFBEAT STOCKBRIDGE HOME

I have been searching for a nice house for my mother to experience living in the countryside with snow as the backdrop. The minute we turned into the driveway and stepped into the house, my mom exclaimed that it was a dream come true!

The red house was striking against the blanket of white snow surrounding it. The frozen stream in front of the house and the snow-capped trees further added to the beauty of the place. Inside the house, everything was clean. The rooms were cozy and looked much better than the pictures featured in the website. The house is also generally bigger than shown.

Our family greatly enjoyed our stay lots! Our 4 yr old and 2 yr old enjoyed exploring the various stairwells. The ample space between the fireplace and the dining area gave them room to run about and ride the kiddy wagons found in the house. Our 5 week old baby enjoyed it too (I guess), since there was a cot provided :P

We also greatly appreciated the owner, Suzanne, for her promptness in replying to emails. She was also very understanding of the various circumstances that arose. Kyle, the property manager, was also very helpful and patiently showed us how to use the fire stove.

All of us had a blast! With the beautiful scenery around the house, my mom had the best winter experience of her life. Thank you Suzanne! :)

This is my second time staying in this amazing place! My friends and I go every year and we love staying in a true cabin amongst nature. This place is exactly what I had in mind when i had planned to start going to Killington every year to snowboard. It is quiet, quaint, and surrounded by nature! The fireplace/stove keeps you toasty and the beautiful wood and architecture throughout the house is an awesome touch! Forget staying in a hotel, just get the true experience of living in Vermont and stay in here! Also don't forget to hit up Kyle, the neighbor/property manager. He has really stellar eggs for breakfast and he is very helpful as well! He informed us that many mornings right around "twilight" you can see Moose roaming around! My friends and I look forward to doing this every year...thank you so much to the family for the hospitality, the place has everything you need!
