Come and enjoy the experience of a charming yet funky remodeled 1800's farmhouse. Listen to the brook and enjoy a glass of wine in front of the wood stove with your loved ones! Gaze at the stars from the bedroom window. Remember that life is meant to be savored!
Our home has 2 bedrooms and a sleeping nook. Each bedroom has a queen sized bed. One bedroom is a loft over the main sitting area and the other is a suite with it's own bathroom and jacuzzi tub. The sleeping nook has a full size bed and there is a twin daybed on the adjacent landing. There is a mudroom to put your boots and coats, a patio overlooking the lawn and a washer dryer. The second bathroom is adjacent to the kitchen with a claw footed tub and shower.
The kitchen comes fully equipped with a microwave, dishwasher, cast iron pans and cooking utensils. We love to cook so you should find what you need to make a great meal! Other amenities include a washer and dryer and grill.
The house is in a quiet location off route 107 adjacent to Stony Brook and is just 20 minutes to Killington/Pico. Just down our road is the VAST trail network and the Appalachian trail. Our road is perfect for mountain biking, snowmobiling, ATV's and walking...there is something for everyone!
The surrounding area also offers hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, biking, horseback riding, and fishing. You can swim and tube in the White River and there are two golf courses within 15 minutes.
We hope you come and enjoy our idyllic haven and make it yours for a week or weekend!

We fell in love with the house!
Walking into our house is like sinking into a warm bath. I love to get away from the city to experience the quiet and contemplative nature of the house and surrounding area.
I wanted to thank you again for your hospitality in letting us ENJOY your lovely home for the weekend! The place is very quaint and quiet and sits right on the river which was perfect! The conditions at Killington were amazing, we even went back Sunday after we straightened up the place! It was like a home away from home and we couldn't have asked for more! We are absolutely in love with the area as well.
We all wanted to transplant this house to our town so we could live in it! I really could have just stayed here and lived here forever. I regret not staying longer. No one wanted to leave. It was a couples weekend and it could not have been more perfect. The house felt like it was in the middle of nowhere which was a great treat from the hustle and bustle. So clean, have nothing to complain about. It was just a 20-25 min ride to Killington Mt. where we skied. There was a beautiful river across the road that was so peaceful to look at. It was so great coming back to the house after skiing to the fire place and the great jacuzzi tub! Highly recommend this house to anyone whether it is a ski vacation, or just a vacation to hang out. There was no TV, which made time go by slow, which was FANTASTIC. Cannot wait to go back!!!
We rented this house me and my wife to get away from everything and was the perfect get away.
The house has everything that you need from comfort , nice kitchen with everything you need for cooking fresh local veggies ;) a nice whirlpool tub , comfortable beds and a cozy living room , the house is big and is located on a quiet street next to a water stream that u can hear at night and through the day .
The people are super nice very polite and given you directions were to go.
Kyle and Suzanne were very polite down to earth and brought us fresh eggs and Vermont bagels that were out of this world.
The food from the local farms are the best of corse and the house is located perfectly away from the mayor route and close enough :)
If your looking to spend time relaxing you will find it here.
We are planing to make it a family vacation next time :)
Oh almost forgot ask Kyle for directions to the back roads it will save you time getting around ;)
My husband and I rented this house for our summer vacation. We are frequent visitors to VT, and found the central location of the property to be very convenient. The house is lovely, and within short walking distance of a river, miles of hiking trails, and several small waterfalls. It is also a quick drive to Killington, Woodstock, and other popular VT attractions.
This is an excellent choice for travelers looking for a rustic VT experience without sacrificing the convenience of modern amenities. Highly recommended!
My husband, two daughters, and I stayed here for three nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The cottage is artfully and tastefully decorated, the kitchen is well equipped, the fireplace and beds were comfortable and cozy. (A bonus for us was that the owners even had a crib, highchair, and baby gates for us to use!) We took snowy walks around the area, went sledding, and went into a local town for food and some unexpected bluegrass music. Every moment of our stay was relaxing and fun! We hope to return this summer and experience more of this peaceful area in Vermont.
I have been searching for a nice house for my mother to experience living in the countryside with snow as the backdrop. The minute we turned into the driveway and stepped into the house, my mom exclaimed that it was a dream come true!
The red house was striking against the blanket of white snow surrounding it. The frozen stream in front of the house and the snow-capped trees further added to the beauty of the place. Inside the house, everything was clean. The rooms were cozy and looked much better than the pictures featured in the website. The house is also generally bigger than shown.
Our family greatly enjoyed our stay lots! Our 4 yr old and 2 yr old enjoyed exploring the various stairwells. The ample space between the fireplace and the dining area gave them room to run about and ride the kiddy wagons found in the house. Our 5 week old baby enjoyed it too (I guess), since there was a cot provided :P
We also greatly appreciated the owner, Suzanne, for her promptness in replying to emails. She was also very understanding of the various circumstances that arose. Kyle, the property manager, was also very helpful and patiently showed us how to use the fire stove.
All of us had a blast! With the beautiful scenery around the house, my mom had the best winter experience of her life. Thank you Suzanne! :)
This is my second time staying in this amazing place! My friends and I go every year and we love staying in a true cabin amongst nature. This place is exactly what I had in mind when i had planned to start going to Killington every year to snowboard. It is quiet, quaint, and surrounded by nature! The fireplace/stove keeps you toasty and the beautiful wood and architecture throughout the house is an awesome touch! Forget staying in a hotel, just get the true experience of living in Vermont and stay in here! Also don't forget to hit up Kyle, the neighbor/property manager. He has really stellar eggs for breakfast and he is very helpful as well! He informed us that many mornings right around "twilight" you can see Moose roaming around! My friends and I look forward to doing this every year...thank you so much to the family for the hospitality, the place has everything you need!
