Bright and spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bath, 2nd floor condo at Lakes Edge. Fully furnished with Florida style home furnishings. Kitchen has all updated kitchen appliances and solid surface counter tops. Fully equipped with dishes, pots, pans, baking ware, silverware, glassware, etc. including coffee pot, toaster, toaster oven, stove. microwave oven and lots more. Dining room table with four (4) Chairs. Living Room overlooking the lake with private screened in lanai. Master Bedroom has King Size Bed, and Master Bath has walk in shower. Guest Bedroom has Queen Size Bed, and Guest bath has Tub/Shower combo. Full size Washer/Dryer in the condo with iron and ironing board. This is your home away from home in sunny Florida.
Swim/relax at either of the two (2) the community pools that are heated, enjoy gatherings in the club house at the pool house. Or drive 15 minutes to enjoy the sandy beach along the Gulf of Mexico!
Just bring your clothes, toothbrush & other necessities. Enjoy the views of the surrounding complex from your lanai. Community amenities include: Fishing lake, community pool and plenty of room to walk or ride your bicycle and close to all Port Charlotte amenities.
There are lots of activities in the area such as Moose Lodge that offers dinners, live music and dancing. Close to Cultural Center that offers lots of activities throughout the season, library, shopping & many places to wine and dine.
Keywords: Lakes Edge Condominiums just a few minutes from Kings Hwy off of Loveland Blvd. Charlotte Harbor Beach nearby as is the Gulf of Mexico.
My mother and I have owned the unit since 1994 when it was purchased new, and we have always considered it as our home away from home (western suburbs of Chicago). We treasure our Florida condo and will always have very fond memories of our special times and occasions while we were here during the cold winters up North.

It is an extremely quiet community, very safe, and the other owners are like family to each other which was important to us when we purchased this model unit when it was first built in the early 1990's. The unit is quite amazing as it allows us to enjoy all of the activities that are in close proximity of each other. The Ft. Myers Airport is only a 35 minute drive. and Sarasota Airport is only a 40 minute drive. I-75 is just a few miles away so the drive times are minimized. We enjoy going to the beach frequently and the Gulf of Mexico beaches are only a 10 to 15 minute drive from our unit which makes it nice to enjoy a full day at the beach!
Shopping is only a few minutes away as are the movie theaters, restaurants (when you want to dine out). Golf courses are extremely nice and close by, and there is a Local Moose Lodge just 2 minutes away! Fishing is always an option since our unit is right near the lake, and the sunsets from our private lanai which faces west are just incredible to see! There are also walking paths located all around which allows us to enjoy exercise time amongst other things. It really is a home away from home!
Our condo was exactly as described. Very clean and well maintained. Everything you could ever wish for and more was supplied. All we needed was our food and it was a home away from home. The owners and the manager were very helpful and went above and beyond for any help we might need. The sunset was beautiful, the grounds were immaculately kept. All our neighbours were very friendly and helpful and we found our way around easily. Beall's Department store nearby with terrific discounts. Pool in complex had plenty of lounge chairs, tables etc. Peter's Restaurant, just up the road had good "home cooking" type, inexpensive meals. All the chain restaurants are a short drive away. We have nothing but good things to say about our stay and wouldn't hesitate to return, or recommend it to our friends.
Condo was as described and a good location to access Port charlotte and Punta gorda fl. Although charlotte harbor is a very short drive from the condo the golf of Mexico is approximately a 35min. Drive. I would like to point out there was no b b q available for outdoor grilling so bring your own. The pool was great but a small club house so if you enjoy activities you may want to check out the Port charlotte cultural center.
The photos of the condo on-line were accurate & one felt like they'd already been when walking into the condo! The photos definitely represented the condo building & lake area as well as the pool The only disappointment was the small size of the 'club house' which was just a room with a couple of tables. The property was very well maintained & clean. I'd definitely recommend the property to anyone. The residents of the property were very friendly & welcoming. One definitely needs a car to get around. There was ample grocery shopping in the area. If one like to shop, Beals regular store at the Port Charlotte Town Centre & any Beals Outlet (one located very close to the rental property) are both a must! Great buys! We enjoyed excursions into Punta Gorda & went several times to Fisherman's Village & enjoyed the shops, a boat trip out into the harbour area as well as dining at Harpoon Harry's & The Captain's Table. As well in Punta Gorda we loved having lunch at Pies & Plates & browsing in their unique gift shop. For sports fans, the Sports Centre, home of the Tampa Bay Rays spring training is a great facility. We enjoyed eating at a very small fish restaurant very close to the condo called Shark's - not at all a fancy establishment but the food was excellent & cheap! Lined up on Friday nights so one must be prepared to wait! We enjoyed coffee several times at Panera Breads. Should things work out I'd return to this property in a heart-beat. All correspondence with the property owner was amazing - very helpful, cooperative, quick to answer questions & personable & felt very comfortable to ask questions & suggestions from the owner. A great experience in dealing with the owner!
