Location: The cottage is located on the Buttersville Peninsula south of Ludington, between Pentwater and Ludington. 1.5 miles from White Pine Village.
The best beach in Michigan (in my humble opinion), just down the steps.
Stayed here for a week each of the past 2 summers. Quiet. cozy and just as described. Private beach is a bit of an understatement (had 10 or so people walk past our spot of beach each day, and sometimes not even that). Great backyard for entertaining kids or for relaxing. Close to town (and even closer to Dairy Queen!).
Will be back again next year.
Wonderful place for a get-away! Place was very clean and tidy. Pristine, quiet beach and lovely back yard. We have a one-year-old daughter, and it didn't take long to baby-proof the place. The listing and photos were true to description. I would recommend the place to friends and family, and we would enjoy staying again!
Our family stayed in mid July, and what a great find. Pictures were true to form. Was perfect size for us (3 children, ages 7, 5, and 2). Yard was great to play, house was well suited with everything we needed, private beach was awesome, and oh what a view! Neighbors were quite and private, so no problems at all. Nestled on a peninsula about 1.5 miles from the south lighthouse, had very little traffic either by car or foot on the beach, so very peaceful. Also a 10min drive to downtown Ludington or 20min to Pentwater. Would not hesitate for a second to stay again with our family or another couple. My wife and I travel a lot, and know a find when we see it. Look no further, I know we won't next summer.
