About The Owner
Original loft dwellers in NYC, my wife and I were initially lured to Maine by its natural beauty, lakes and coastal access. After several years of vacationing in Maine's lake region and mid coast, we discovered Portland--a city whose sophistication with food and the arts, defies its size. After renting for one year, we found our ideal home--a converted 1880's carriage house located in the center of the Arts District, where we currently reside with our two Samoyeds. Portland's nationally reknowned restaurants--(my wife is a foodie), vibrant music, theater and arts scene--(I enjoy that) and ease of access to the woods and beaches--(my dogs require that) make it the ideal living place for us.
A week or two in Portland can be the perfect get away vacation for you, and may result in you too seeking permanent residency in Maine, as my wife Stephanie and I have.
