23ft HEATED (Dec-April) INFINITY POOL, with stunning OCEAN VIEWS from ALL ROOMS & SHOWERS. Very CLOSE TO BEACH! 2 or 3 bedroom (plus bonus room) options.

CASA CONTIGO is a 2-3+ bedroom luxury escape with a 23-foot HEATED (Dec-April) INFINITY POOL and stunning OCEAN VIEWS from ALL ROOMS & SHOWERS. Located in one of the most desirable areas in Sayulita, the casa sits 100 feet above the surf, 100 yards or so from the beach, and an easy 10 minute walk to town.

CASA CONTIGO can be rented separately as a 2+ bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home, or combined with its CASITA to create a contiguous 3+ bedroom, 4 1/2 bath property by way of an adjoining interior locking door and a circular staircase. The CASITA may also be separated from the main house by way of a PRIVATE ENTRANCE.

PLEASE NOTE THAT PRICES SHOWN IN THE RATE BOXES UNDER 'NIGHTLY' and 'WEEKLY' ARE FOR THE 2 BEDROOM CASA DURING THE STATED DATE RANGES. PLEASE SEE BOTTOM OF THIS DESCRIPTION FOR 3 BEDROOM, HOLIDAY & LOW SEASON RATES.

2-BEDROOM (Main House Option):

• Spot-on, unobstructed views of the ocean and both surf breaks from practically every room in the house.

• Located only 100 feet above the surf and just 100 yards or so from the beach.

• The main level of the house is designed as an open-air “living terrace,” that includes the kitchen (with high-end appliances, purified-water icemaker, and dishwasher), living room/lounge and dining area, all surrounded by the infinity pool and ocean view.

• Cutting-edge heated (Dec-April) salt-water infinity pool, approx. 23 feet long and 4 ½ feet deep with a bench spanning length of pool and overlooking the ocean. The salt is very light – this is NOT ocean water. If you have not tried a salt-water pool before, you will be pleasantly surprised.

• Upper level consists of two equally appointed air-conditioned bedrooms and private bathrooms with custom polished concrete sinks and showers. Both bedrooms and showers have stunning ocean views. A small sitting room/retreat with a built-in couch (could possibly be used as a single bed for someone under 6 ft. tall - please call to discuss appropriateness for your group) connects the bedrooms.

• Stunning roof deck with pergola-covered bar and dining area, kitchen (with sink, frig, burner and gas BBQ) and a 360-degree view spanning north towards San Pancho (San Francisco) and south towards Monkey Mountain.

• All levels are great for bird and iguana watching (up to 23 iguanas lounge/feed/interact daily in a neighboring tree).

• Specialty “granzon” sand-imbedded floors surround the pool and roof deck.

• Purified, drinkable water throughout house (including icemaker).

• Highspeed Internet/ Personal safes/ Pool floaters/ Beach towels, cooler, chairs and umbrella/ Boogie boards available.

• New construction built with special attention to privacy and security. Steep drop-offs may not be appropriate for smaller children.

• Because we also love to travel, but hate having to buy a bunch of staples (most of which do not get used), we have stocked the pantry at Casa Contigo with a starter selection of many basic items including: margarita salt; table salt; peppercorns and grinder; cooking oils; vinegars; bottled hot salsa/sauce; microdyne (to clean/soak vegetables); napkins; paper towels; coffee filters (but not coffee); a starter selection of teas; some basic spices; dish sponge; dish and dishwasher soap; plastic wrap and tinfoil. And in the bathrooms we provide the basics: blow dryers; toilet paper; hand/body soap; shampoo and conditioner. Clothes iron also available.

3rd BEDROOM/Casita (Casita Option includes Main House described above), with additional BONUS/MEDIA ROOM

• Gorgeous Mexican beach-style loft nestled among palm trees and an iguana-filled fig tree with filtered ocean views.

• Large (approx. 600 sq. ft.) fully enclosable living space with 4-meter high ceilings, giant retractable picture windows, and private outdoor/covered garden.

• Sexy, split-level space, consisting of living and dining areas, a FULL KITCHEN with bar counter, a raised bedroom with queen bed, generously sized closet, bathroom with custom polished concrete sink and ocean/palm view shower, and couch that can be used as a single bed (upon agreement, after discussing with owners).

• Internal locking staircase connects casita with main house. Casita also has a PRIVATE, SECURE GATED ENTRANCE.

• Specialty “granzon” sand-imbedded concrete floors.

• Separate bonus/media room level below casita and garden with large 'L' shaped couch (can be made into single bed), Smart TV for Netflix/DVD watching (Note: there is NO TV reception or cable), and full bathroom (please call to discuss appropriateness for use as sleeping area for your group). IMPORTANT: During the low and swing seasons (Jun-Oct), the Smart TV is moved up one level into the casita, and the Bonus Room is not available for sleeping purposes.

• Purified, drinkable water throughout the casita.

About Evan & Tracey

Before we designed and built Casa Contigo, we spent many years renting and visiting other casas in town. From these experiences, we learned what was both good and bad about the location and design of houses around town, as well as property management. As the contractors, we were at the jobsite everyday, making sure every design detail was just so, from maximizing the amazing views in every room to the detailed stone work, and the furniture and metal work that we designed and had custom built. Our guests notice this attention to detail while luxuriating in the casa and enjoying the ocean view, the incredible sunsets, the 23-foot heatable infinity pool, and 360 degree view roof deck. We also bring this attention to detail to managing the property, which we handle personally (we have lived in Sayulita full time for many years).

Why Evan & Tracey chose Sayulita

We were married in Sayulita in 2004 and fell in love with the town's charm and funkiness. We immediately began our search for a lot to build on, but waited several years until we found exactly the right property where we could build with amazing views, yet have a close proximity to the beach and town. Casa Contigo, completed in 2011, is the culmination of that dream that we now share 'contigo' (with you!).

What makes this villa unique

Incredible year-round SUNSETS (not all 'view' houses get to enjoy Sayulita sunsets). Relaxing and swimming in the 23 foot HEATABLE INFINITY POOL, especially at night! Staring at the AMAZING OCEAN VIEWS from all rooms and showers. BBQing & DINING on the 360 DEGREE VIEW ROOF DECK. WATCHING up to 23 IGUANAS interact in the tree in front of the house. Watching the BIRDS swoon about and perch in the trees around the house. WHALE WATCHING (they can sometimes be seen while just sitting around at the casa)! Trips also available.

Amazing

  • 5 of 5

My wife, I and another couple spent a week at Casa Contigo in March and had an absolutely wonderful time. Casa Contigo is a spectacular home with incredible views and every amenity needed to be self sufficient. The casa is laid out in such a manner that both bedrooms were exactly alike witch prevents potential disagreements over who gets the best bedroom with the best view. Tracy and Evan responded to every email in an amazingly short period of time and were spot on with their recommendations. The location of casa Contigo is ideal as it is private but located close to everything in Sayulita. The housekeeper Yadi did a great job and was very gracious and washed a few loads of clothes during the week. We were pleasantly surprised when she handed us some money left in the pocket of one of the articles of clothing she washed. Overall, we felt we rented the best possible property in Sayulita and that Tracy & Evan have thought of everything to make it a memorable experience. If I had to find one thing to complain about it would be that we felt so comfortable and relaxed (the infinity pool and upper level deck) that we rarely left the casa and did not leave us much time to explore the area. Oh well, just another reason to return in the future.

Great week at Casa Contigo

  • 5 of 5

While Tracy and Evan were out of town during our stay so we never had a chance to meet them, they were very responsive to my many questions prior to our first trip to Sayulita. The house is very well kept and everything is in excellent working order. The location, just a few minutes from town either walking or via our rented golf cart, was absolutely ideal with peace and quiet at night but easy access to all of Sayulita's wonderful restaurants and the beach as well. The AC in the upper rooms worked very well when we needed it, and the beds were very comfortable. Can't wait to return to Sayulita and would stay at Casa Contigo again in a second! Thanks Tracy and Evan!!

Casa Contigo - Wow

  • 5 of 5

What an incredible home. The views, layout, location, and privacy all far exceeded my wife’s and my expectations. The beach and town are short and easy jaunts on foot. We felt safe walking to and from the house both day and night, and certainly felt secure in the home. Other reviews say pictures don’t do the property justice, and they are correct. As nice as Casa Contigo appears on screen, in person it is even better. Falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of the surf brought so much peace to both of us, and to be able to gaze out over the beach and bay with only the iguanas and tropical birds (and incredible stars at night) for company was perfect. Sayulita is a small and wonderful town with some good food options. When we chose to leave Casa Contigo there was plenty to do and explore in the village, though the best part was always coming home to one of the nicest and most serene properties we’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting. We have no reason to explore other housing options for our next trip, as we would certainly plan around the availability of Casa Contigo. This place would be very hard to beat.

Casa Contigo checks all the boxes and then some

  • 5 of 5

We've been renting privately owned villas for a dozen or so years, mainly for a romantic getaway during the winter, and always struggle with finding a place with everything we're looking for that isn't designed and priced for 10 or 12 people. We definitely found that and more in Casa Contigo. The villa is absolutely beautiful and perfect for a couple. The view, the privacy, the design and furnishings, and the heated infinity pool are all world class. Being able to drink the water right out of the tap, shower, and brush your teeth without worrying is icing on the cake. The only villa we've rented that even comes close is on the Caribbean island of St. Barts at more than twice the price.

When you walk in the front door, you're looking across the infinity pool at this amazing view of the ocean, the point to the west of town and part of the town. Upstairs, the identical bedrooms have even more jaw dropping views, which you can enjoy while lying in bed, and doors that open to the sea breeze and sound of the surf. When you think it couldn't get any better, you take the stairs to the rooftop deck where you can see the entire town and coastline. It's pretty amazing.

The villa is in a neighborhood, but designed to ensure privacy and the neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. Sayulita itself is a funky, lively Mexican town right on the beach with a surprising number of interesting shops, not the usual places full of cheap tourist junk. We found several very good restaurants and a bunch of sidewalk taco stands that were excellent. The beach is easily accessible from the villa and great for sunning, walking, boogie boarding, surfing and swimming. We rented a car so we could explore a couple of towns to the north and for general convenience, but you wouldn't have to since town is only about a 10 or 15 minute walk. A lot of folks rent golf carts, which seemed like a good option, especially since parking a car downtown can be challenging at times.

I'm pretty sure we'll be back to Sayulita, and if we do, there's absolutely no question that we'll stay at Casa Contigo.

Even better than the photos!

  • 5 of 5

Photos cannot do the Casa or the view justice. I was still just a little nervous until I got there that I would be disappointed, but the house is truly fantastic, and so was the entire vacation experience.

The home is new, brilliantly designed with breathtaking views from every room from the kitchen to roof deck to bedrooms, and you feel like you're living outside the whole time, but with all the comforts of a modern home. It was great to be able to drink the water straight from the tap, and use the icemaker without concern.

The house is built to really high standards with great finishing touches and a solid feel, and is meticulously maintained by the owners, and maid who comes every 2 days. And the owners themselves could not be better! They were downstairs in the casita during my week there, and were always available if I called them with questions, but were never intrusive. You'll never hear or see them if you don't choose to. They are extremely knowledgeable about Sayulita and the surrounding area and do a great job offering all the info you want to make your vacation whatever you want it to be. And they're just really nice, fun, happy people.

Don't make the mistake of renting a home with an unheated pool in Sayulita! It is hot during the day but the heated pool at Casa Contigo was crucial! I bet an unheated pool would only be usable for the hottest couple hours in the afternoon when I didn't really want to be in the sun anyway. I used the pool at all times of day and night and it was always the perfect temperature.

The location is also fantastic - the casa is just far enough out of town to be totally quiet at night with a sky full of stars and just the sounds of the crickets and ocean, but close enough to easily walk anywhere, any time. Just take the flashlight provided if you're going out late. And the view from up this high is my favorite. Some people prefer to be right on the beach, but Casa Contigo provided a better view across the entire town and bay, with more privacy and trees full of the most incredible birds and iguanas, that entertained me for hours. The last block or 2 are a bit steep, but if walking hills isn't your thing, I would rent a golf cart rather than sacrifice the view and privacy and all the great amenities of Casa Contigo for something on lower ground. You can park right at the front door and get anywhere in no time.

What a great experience, thanks again Evan and Tracey!

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your awesome review, Matt!  We are so glad you enjoyed the casa so much -- including the amazing views, and the heated pool (which we agree is needed to fully enjoy a pool in Sayulita from December through April!).  We did want to clarify for our future guests that the main pool/living level of Casa Contigo sits only 100 feet above sea level -- just at palm-top height (with the two main casa bedrooms and roof deck above that, and the casita and bonus room below).  Thus, we are as low down the hill on the north-end of town as you can be and still have the amazing views that Matt enjoyed.  For a visual of our location, please see the last photo on this VRBO listing, which shows a picture of the north-end of Sayulita, with Casa Contigo circled. Casa Contigo is an easy two-minute walk down to the beach (and a couple extra minutes back up to the casa), and a ten-minute walk to town.  The vast majority of our guests take advantage of a shuttle service to get to and from the airport (as well as to stop for grocery shopping on the way to the casa), and then enjoy strolling to the beach or town (which we think is one of the charms of Sayulita).  With that said, as Matt suggests, if you don't want to make the short 100-foot walk up to casa, or if you have mobility problems, or are coming during the hotter, humid rainy season (June-Oct), you might enjoy renting a car or golf cart.

What's not to love about Casa Contigo!!!

  • 5 of 5

Four of us (2 couples) just returned from two weeks spent in paradise. This is our 3rd trip to Sayulita, and Casa Contigo far exceeds our previous lodgings. The owners have taken great care in laying out a home that is beautiful, comfortable and inviting. The views of the ocean and town are outstanding from all 3 levels: the main level, the bedroom(s) on the 2nd level, and the rooftop deck. The heated salt water infinity pool is so inviting at the end of a day exploring nearby beaches and towns. The kitchen is well-stocked. Iguanas and birds indigenous to the area abound in nearby trees. The owners are extremely helpful and accommodating in offering recommendations for any kind of activity, including massages, meal preparation, favorite restaurants, snorkeling, tequila, etc. This house made Sayulita so much more enjoyable for us. We found it extremely difficult to leave and return to reality.
