Zen - a great place on a beautiful lake

  • 4 of 5
Loved the view of the lake, the sparkling water in the late afternoon like 'On Golden Pond"; loved the swing on the back porch - a favorite spot for all; loved the hammock on the side overlooking the lake; plenty of space for a large family; tons of bathrooms - 8 - a real plus for grandparents especially; very convenient to touring vermont; I am sad to go as the lake is so beautiful and I will miss looking at it; very much a zen experience; the house has charm and love via all the beautiful quotes, and smiling happy family pictures; Only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 is because there were lots of cobwebs, which bothered grandma more than me, and the house does need a bit of updating in places; other than that it was a great vacation, and this is the first time I have ever heard my husband say he would like to repeat visit a vacation spot/home;

Owner's Response: Traci & Keith,

Thank you so much for your review. You should be a writer. I feel exactly the same when I'm there. Yes, there are portions of the home that need updating and every year we take on a project and upgrade. I wish you could have seen the camp when we bought it 4 years ago. Yikes. As for the spiders......we have learned to embrace them. Nothing better than to get a glass of wine, sit on the back porch and watch in awe at how fast and meticulously they build their webs. I will be there with my girlfriends in October and can hardly wait. I will make them work a bit to earn their keep. ;) Stay tuned for the new improvements.

Great location, spacious house

  • 4 of 5
The lake house has a great location right on lake Bomoseen, with a canoe and a couple kayaks to take a spin around the lake. Fireplace = yes. Good living room space = yes. Large rooms with many bathrooms = yes. Age of the house = feels a little older but definitely a great place to stay the weekend

We were 12 adults and all had a place to sleep comfortably and enjoyed our weekend despite bad weather one of the days.
