Photos and Description of the Westport Island vacation cottage rental
3 bedrooms (4 twin beds & a king), sleeps 6 with one large full bathroom.

Beautiful newly renovated cottage on a quiet dead end road. Sits on 4 1/2 acres along with our own house. 450 feet of waterfront on the Sheepscot River with use of the dock. Full kitchen with dishwasher. On premise laundry with washer and dryer. Cable TV (Dish network) with DVR, DVD & stereo CD player. Tastefully furnished. 15 minutes to the 'Prettiest Village in Maine', Wiscasset with the famous Red's Eats for the best lobster roll in Maine. Mountain bikes available at the Squire Tarbox Inn on request.

Many day trips of the area include Boothbay Harbor, The Maritime Museum, Bowdoin art museum, The Wyeth Museum, Pemaquid Point Fort & Lighthouse, and so much more.

Bring your own boat or kayaks or rent nearby and keep them at the dock for the week. To launch your boat you can use the nearby Westport Island public landing and bring it round to our dock. Plenty of parking space at the cottage for atrailer if needed.

About Roni & Mario De Pietro (The Squire Tarbox Inn)

Roni & Mario moved from Long Island, NY, to Maine in 2002 when they bought the Squire Tarbox Inn here on Westport Island. They originally came to the US in 1969, Roni from the UK & Mario from Switzerland. Mario worked in NY for Restaurant Assoc. & Roni was a flight att. for 34 years, first for Pan Am & then Delta. They are still running the inn, now with the help of their daughter.

The cottage is on the property of their house which sits up high overlooking the Sheepscot River. It is at the top of the hill on a private road with just 3 other houses. It was a run down extra building & we decided to renovate it a few years ago. So we gutted it out & made it into the cozy place it is today.

What makes this cottage unique

The peace & quiet is what is particularly perfect with this property. You can stare at the the amazing night skies as there is no light pollution at all. It is a place to unwind & relax.

50% payment at time of reservation. Remaining 50% to be received one week prior to arrival date along with a refundable $300 security deposit. Payment by check or cash. If you would like to use a Visa or MC we charge an extra 1% fee.
Fees And Taxes 7% tax is included in rental price.
Our normal weekly booking days are Saturday arrival to Saturday departure. Different days can be discussed depending on availability. Check-in is 4pm & check-out is 10am

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (USD) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

Fantastic place. Very comfortable. Really can sleep 8 if needed. Great owners -- quite friendly. Make sure you eat at their restaurant too! Climb down to the dock is quite a hike, but worth it. Close to Wiscasset and many other mid-coast Maine attractions. Highly recommended!
