Check-in time is 3:00 pm with check-out at 10:00 am for this rental located at 213 East Hall Street, Savannah, Georgia, 31401. No pets allowed. Brockington Hall Inn Suite is a cozy little inn in Savannah’s Historic District. Situated on a quiet tree-lined, brick-paved street of beautiful residences, we are within a block and a half from Forsyth Park and of the Mansion on Forsyth Park. We are also within walking distance (for spry people!) of most of Savannah’s famous sites.

Located about 25 blocks from the center of the City, and redone in 2011, the Inn offers a living room, bedroom, and eat-in kitchen for small meals, with a private entrance.

The Inn Suite is located in a tastefully-renovated 16th Century Classic Italianate villa-style mansion built in 1882 which houses an event venue and private apartments as well. The informality of the Inn Suite’s design and furnishings and its modest rental rate make it especially suited to the young at heart who wish to enjoy the grandeur of Savannah itself without staying in a formal space. A full kitchen with facilities for light cooking is provided, and you can bring home your treats from Savannah’s many fine restaurants for later snacks. You can cook your own breakfast or have breakfast nearby in the Cafe at Forsyth Park, which has Starbucks coffee. A Kroger grocery store is a block away down the lane, and Johnny Ganem's wine and liquor store is three blocks away.

A Tassimo coffee-maker is provided, with coffee, tea, sugars, Splenda, and creamer.

In addition to the private entrance, the Inn Suite has wireless Internet access, cable TV service via two flat-screen TVs, and its own security system. You will have free use of Brockington Hall’s shared laundry facility, off-street parking for one vehicle, and maid service at a reasonable frequency after a two-night’s stay, if requested.

The Inn Suite is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is allowed outside the building.

A two night minimum stay is required, but we'd love for you to be our guests for an extended stay as well.

Check-in time is 3:00 pm and check-out time is 10:00 am.

About Lee Mundell

The Inn was opened in 2011 by Lee and Melissa Mundells -- lawyers by occupation -- in a building inherited from Lee's parents. United States Air Force Retired Lieutenant General Lewis Mundell and his wife Elsie lived in the house for 20+ years. The house has been featured in tours hosted by Historic Savannah Foundation and by the city's Downtown Neighborhood Association. Lee has served as President of both of these organizations, and we are committed to preservation of Savannah's unique characteristics.

Why Lee Mundell chose Savannah

Lee and Melissa have lived in Savannah since 1977, when Brockington Hall was operated as an event venue. The senior Mundells purchased the building as their private residence in 1981, with some rental apartments on floors other than their residence on the parlor floor.

The suite was a modest apartment built in the 1960's in an addition to the main building.

downtown Savannah

The place had a bedroom, living room, kitchen eating place, and a bathroom. It was small but ample and clean. The bed was a double versus a queen or a king. It was within a thousand feet of krogers. The only negativse were a light outside the bedroom which didn't turn off and the water pressure in the shower wasn't great. I would highly recommend it.

My husband and I stayed for a romantic getaway and everything was very nice. Loved the neighborhood architecture and the park close by. We walked all over the historic area and could have taken the free shuttle but it was fun to just walk. Nice touch to provide coffee and toiletries in the bathroom. We would love to come back if we are ever in Savannah again.

Ok for the price

We stayed at the Brockington apartment for eight nights and found, as other reviewers have written, that indeed the place is very convenient to downtown, DOT bus and Kroger. However, there is very little in any review about the actual apartment. We found the unit to be clean but very limited in storage for clothes not on hangers (no dresser in the entire unit), ability to actually cook in the unit was also limited (1 lone scratched frying pan = no bacon and eggs for breakfast, spouse simply went out and bought a new pan) and you needed to be very selective what you planned to prepare. The unit is very dark inside with a garage on one side, the laundry room on one side, a brick wall 3 feet from the front and a 6 foot stockade fence on the remaining side. We could never tell if the sun was shining or if it was raining. The one other bad thing with the unit was the damp and musty smell. Determined if you simply turned off the air conditioner the smell mostly dissipated. So we just didn’t use the air. Not good for guests with allergies.

While this review runs contrary to all other reviews you really need to read very carefully all 27 reviews. The word cozy, just as in the ad for the place, is used in quite a few reviews. The location and being in Savannah was a recurring theme in a lot of reviews. Plain cost for some seemed to be a driving factor in choosing this unit. I looked at all reviewers and found 2 that I could not determine how many reviews they have ever posted. Of the 25 remaining reviews 4 had 2 reviews and 1 had 3 reviews. That leaves 20 reviewers (80%) that this was their first review.

Owner's Response: The inability of this reviewer to perceive the weather from the windows of this corner suite quite surprises us. Two of the suite’s windows face an openwork brick fence that separates our path from our neighbor’s gorgeous courtyard. Our small courtyard for smokers does have a high wooden fence to hide the garbage bins in the lane but this suite does not face on that area. This reviewer did not make us aware of any concerns during his/her stay as we encourage all guests to do. Our photos of the suite are accurate and we cannot change the architecture but we could easily have provided a scratch-free frying pan and would have had this first-ever complaint of mustiness checked by an air-conditioning professional. Most of our guests enjoy a bit of shade in Savannah’s hot, humid climate and most cook only light meals because they have come to see the City and to eat in its fine restaurants. Our suite is modest but affordable and, as this reviewer acknowledged (while evaluating the credentials of other reviewers), most couples have enjoyed their stay here. We are sorry that this couple did not and that they did not give us an opportunity to address their concerns.

First time in Savannah

The place we stayed was perfect! Right in the middle of the historic area with all the amenities we needed. We took the Old Town Trolley tour and our place was pointed out on the tour! So cool, much better than staying in one of the chain hotels at the river front. And Mary, a the housekeeper was wonderful. She took us for a tour of the upper floors since there was not an event going on. Thanks again Mary!

Sightseeing and shopping in Savannah's Historic and Victorian Districts,with its many museums and landmarks, available by moderate walks or short walk to shuttle. We are one block from Forsyth Park, and your ground-floor suite has a private entrance. Your kitchen lets you bring home treats from Savannah's fine restaurants, and there is a grocery store a block away and a wine and liquor store three blocks away. Your suite is one block from Savannah's famous Forsyth Park, where concerts, festivals, and sporting events are frequently held. There you can catch our City's Shuttle, and a moderate walk (with or without shuttle) will take you to the bulk of Savannah's sightseeing spots and shopping in the Historic District. Also we are on the edge of Savannah's Victorian District, the first 'suburb' of the City, originally served by trolley, where you'll find our 'painted lady' houses, antiques stores, and other small businesses. A grocery store is one block away, with a wine and liquor store only three blocks away.
