Located at 213 East Hall Street, Savannah, Georgia, 31401, the Brockington Hall Inn Suite is a cozy and different little inn in Savannah’s Historic District. Situated on a quiet tree-lined, brick-paved street of beautiful residences, we are within a block and a half from Forsyth Park and of the Mansion on Forsyth Park. We are also within walking distance (for spry people!) of most of Savannah’s famous sites.

Located about 25 blocks from the center of the City, and redone in 2011, the Inn offers a living room, separate bedroom, and eat-in kitchen, with a private entrance.

The Inn Suite is located in a tastefully-renovated 16th Century Classic Italianate villa-style mansion built in 1882 which houses an event venue and private apartments as well. The informality of the Inn Suite’s design and furnishings and its modest rental rate make it especially suited to the young at heart who wish to enjoy the grandeur of Savannah itself without staying in a formal space. A full kitchen with facilities for light cooking is provided, and you can bring home your treats from Savannah’s many fine restaurants for later snacks. You can cook your own breakfast or have breakfast nearby in the Cafe at Forsyth Park, which has Starbucks coffee. A Kroger grocery store is a block away down the lane, and Johnny Ganem's wine and liquor store is three blocks away.

A Tassimo coffee-maker is provided, with coffee, tea, sugars, Splenda, and creamer.

In addition to the private entrance, the Inn Suite has wireless Internet access, cable TV service via two flat-screen TVs, and its own security system. You will have free use of Brockington Hall’s shared laundry facility, off-street parking for one vehicle, and maid service at a reasonable frequency after a two-night’s stay, if requested.

The Inn Suite is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is allowed outside the building.

A two night minimum stay is required, but we'd love for you to be our guests for an extended stay as well.

Check-in time is 3:00 pm and check-out time is 10:00 am.

The Inn was opened in 2011 by Lee and Melissa Mundells -- lawyers by occupation -- in a building inherited from Lee's parents. United States Air Force Retired Lieutenant General Lewis Mundell and his wife Elsie lived in the house for 20+ years. The house has been featured in tours hosted by Historic Savannah Foundation and by the city's Downtown Neighborhood Association. Lee has served as President of both of these organizations, and we are committed to preservation of Savannah's unique characteristics.

Lee and Melissa have lived in Savannah since 1977, when Brockington Hall was operated as an event venue. The senior Mundells purchased the building as their private residence in 1981, with some rental apartments on floors other than their residence on the parlor floor.

When you stay in the Inn you will be staying in the country's largest historic district, on one of Savannah's loveliest streets with easy access to the City's wealth of architecture, museums, shopping, and history.

Great place to stay

We love Savannah and were looking for a nice place to stay that didn't charge a fortune. We found it here. The place was exactly as described and the photos are exactly as the place looked. The property was clean and Lee and Melissa did a great job of answering all our questions. They were great hosts, very professional and kind. We left our car parked and walked everywhere since everything we wanted to see was within distance. I would recommend this place to anyone and will love to stay here again in the future.

Great little Apt Very Close to Historic Downtown Savannah!

We decided to stay at the Brockington Hall, because we weren't familiar with the Savannah area and wanted to stay some where close walking distance to the historic area without paying a fortune. The place was very clean and cozy! The owner Lee was very hospitable and gave us a lot of good info for the town. The place is only about 2 blocks from a Kroger grocery store, only about 2 blocks from Forsyth Park, and about a half mile pleasant walk to River Street.

Perfect place for friends from Oklahoma and Arkansas

We could not have asked for a more perfect place to stay for our visit in Savannah. Lee was a wonderful host and had answers for all our questions and directions of how to get there. This suite has a great location and easy to get to all the things we wanted to do and see. This home is awesome and our little part of it was perfect. The kitchen and bath are huge and the bedroom was plenty big to hold our luggage, clothes etc. The front room is small but big enough for two people to be comfortable. We had a parking place in the back that was waiting for us when we came in. The suite was clean, smelled nice and was attractively decorated. It is located in a beautiful part of the city and you can see the Mansion and Forsyth Park from the sidewalk. Perfect in every way and would gladly stay there again.

ICING ON THE CAKE!

The lovely and very comfortable inn was icing on the cake for my visit to Savannah. Very clean, great price, perfect location, comfy and cozy...More than I imagined. The Mundell’s have gone above and beyond to provide all the comforts of home. The location couldn't have been better. Located just steps from Forsyth Park where shuttles stop for touring excursions. Tours drive past Brockington Hall and acknowledge it as one of the most beautiful homes in Savannah. I suggest reading/viewing Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil prior to your visit. I highly recommend this inn!

Coach house apartment

When we arrived we were informed that the rental we had booked was taken for the 1st night but if we wanted we could move into it for the rest of the week. We opted not to move as we had bought groceries and did not want to waste time moving with all our luggage as well. The renovated coach house we were given would have been perfect except for it was in dire need of a good cleaning. The ceiling fans, blinds and chain on the lamp over the dining table were covered in a thick layer of dust. The corners of each room as well hadn't been vacuumed in awhile either and being as I have allergies to dust, I was so stuffed up at night I had a hard time sleeping. The bed and linens were comfortable although it was smaller than we're used to (a full size instead of queen). The grocery store just around the corner was a bonus, as well as the DOT shuttle which ran until 9pm. The unit was well equipped with lots of hangers and a Tassimo but the pizza pan they supplied would not fit into the little oven. This place has lots of potential if it were cleaner and given some fresh paint and then I would rate it 4 star.

Owner's Response: These guests stayed in our Cottage, not the Inn. Our units are cleaned by a third party between stays, which does include vacuuming, but apparently not enough attention was paid to the ceiling fan. If these guests had told us their concerns - as we asked them to do when they checked in AND then again during their stay - we would have addressed them immediately! We have NEVER had a complaint about cleanliness, and could not confirm their complaints when they checked out. It is odd they thought they did not have a queen-sized bed - they paid at the rate for our Inn that has a full-sized bed but they stayed (for a week, without extra charge) in our Cottage, the larger unit with a queen-sized bed (the only one that has a ceiling fan). They had mentioned their allergies but had chosen a carpeted unit and were given the more expensive unit with hardwood floors which should have been better for their allergies. We are sorry they had a bad experience and will try to check more often with our guests during their stay.

Sightseeing and shopping in Savannah's Historic and Victorian Districts,with its many museums and landmarks, available by moderate walks or short walk to shuttle. We are one block from Forsyth Park, and your ground-floor suite has a private entrance. Your kitchen lets you bring home treats from Savannah's fine restaurants, and there is a grocery store a block away and a wine and liquor store three blocks away. Your suite is one block from Savannah's famous Forsyth Park, where concerts, festivals, and sporting events are frequently held. There you can catch our City's Shuttle, and a moderate walk (with or without shuttle) will take you to the bulk of Savannah's sightseeing spots and shopping in the Historic District. Also we are on the edge of Savannah's Victorian District, the first 'suburb' of the City, originally served by trolley, where you'll find our 'painted lady' houses, antiques stores, and other small businesses. A grocery store is one block away, with a wine and liquor store only three blocks away.
