This stunning two bedroom, 2.5 baths resort villa with approximately 1,500 square feet of living space, is terraced on the hillside making the perfect home base for all of your adventures. Walk to the beach, hike the jungle or sit and enjoy the stunning view of Costa Rica. A full property management program cares for all the details. The sights and sounds at Canto Del Mar (Song of the Sea) will leave you awestruck. Canto Del Mar is comprised of terraced villas set on the lush hillside, against a backdrop of mountains in every shade of green. Alluring sights and sounds of the ocean are visible from almost any room. The Dominical area, on the Pacific Coast, has always been a favorite destination for both surfers and those visitors seeking an authentic Costa Rican experience. More and more tourists continue to venture this way and constant improvements in infrastructure bring more visitors with each passing year.

For an additional fee, we can arrange a driver/tour guide to pick you up at the airport, and get you safely to the villa visiting some attractions along the way, and also remain available for a few days, or your entire stay as concierge tour guide.

General Location-Surfing Info: Where the Talamancan mountains reach the sea, the town of Dominical is located 45 kms. south of Quepos, and 36 kms. west of San Isidro de General. There are over 15 waterfalls located between Dominical and Uvita (15kms. south) with breathtaking views of the numerous empty point and beach breaks along the coastal highway. The main break is a beachbreak with a strong rip current at times and a rivermouth separating the village from the Hacienda Baru Wildlife Refuge which expands 4 kilometers to the north.

How to get there: How to get there-

There are two direct routes. From the San Jose airport - I recommend driving west to the coast and then south through Jaco and Quepos. This route takes only three hours by car because of the new highway connecting San Jose to Caldera. Also, the road from Quepos to Dominical is now paved and so the last leg takes only 35 minutes. Drive slow to watch out for monkey and pizote crossings.

The other way to go is better if you are coming from the east or south side of San Jose. Then you would take the three hour 'Cerro del Muerte' or Interamerican Highway route over to San Isidro, make a right at the McDonalds, and then follow the signs west to Dominical, which is another hour from the turn. It is a very scenic drive so try to do it in the morning when there is less cloud cover. From the top of Tinamaste you can see the highest peak in Costa Rica - Mount Chirripo - plus the Pacific coastline. Once you arrive in Dominical, Take a left and drive to the Dominicalito.

World Class Sportfishing: The way of the migration of Sail Fish gives us the access to the best fish banks throughout the year for the Southern Pacific zone of Costa Rica. That is the reason why the legend ports of Quepos and Golfito, located in this area, have access to famous areas such as Furuno Bank or Caño Island which is within an hour from the Bay of Dominicalito.

Relaxing week in Dominical, Costa Rica

Perfect place for my husband and I and our friends. Everything we hoped for and more. Walk to the beach. A few minutes by car to restaurants and grocery store. We cooked our own dinner a couple of nights in the great kitchen and just drank wine and listened to waves crashing below. Saw Toucans every morning before we took off on one of our many excursions all within an hour of this wonderful villa. Will be back as soon as possible. Plan to stay at least two weeks next time!

Wonderful Villa with Spectacular views.

Amazing Villa, Well Appointed with Spectacular views. Very conveniently located, close to town. Easy drive to villa. Property was very clean. Management was extremely nice and helped us get settled in. Spent a lot of time on the patio enjoying the view and watching the wildlife. If you want a slice of paradise with the amenities of the Ritz, stay here. You won't be disappointed.

A Perfect Stay

We stayed in this villa for our week-long vacation in Costa Rica. The villa was even better than the description and even the pictures. It was very well maintained and appointed. The location was close to all our activities, the beach, and restaurants.

Our communications were clear, concise, and timely. We were provided with great recommendations for tours, restaurants, even yoga. Everyone we met was so friendly and helpful. I could tell they had a good reputation in the community.

I highly recommend staying in this villa. You will not be disappointed.
