House, 5 Bedrooms + Sleeping Porch, 4 Baths, (Sleeps 11-12)

Our large comfortable home is located in Bass River on Cape Cod's South Shore. Situated overlooking the water, our home boasts glorious views to the East and into Nantucket Sound. Bass River (salt water) is ideally suited for swimming, fishing, kayaking, beach combing, and relaxing in the sun. Directly in front of our home is a private dock and float, shared only with a few other nearby houses. In addition, a wide sandy public beach lies a half mile down the road, easily reached by foot or bicycle. The scenic town of Bass River caters to bikers, walkers, and sightseers.

Our home is situated on a large property with ample room for croquet, wiffle ball, badminton, touch football, sunbathing, and outdoor dining. The garage is equipped with two kayaks, a croquet set, sand toys for young children, and lifejackets. In the backyard is a large outdoor shower with changing area.

The interior of the house is spacious and comfortably furnished. The large living room, with its collection of old records and working record player, is the perfect place for curling up by the wood fireplace after a long day of play. Two enclosed porches that fill up with sunlight during the day are great places to read or watch TV. The dining room can easily accommodate a dozen people. The renovated, skylit kitchen's updated equipment includes a washer/dryer and is fully stocked with china, silverware, and cooking utensils. The ground floor bedroom has a queen size bed and connecting bathroom. The second ground floor bathroom has a shower. Moving upstairs, there are two additional bathrooms and four bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms have queen size beds, the third, twin beds, and the fourth, ideal for children, has three single beds. The house is fully stocked with bed linens and towels.

We had such a fantastic experience in this house, we hope to book again for this summer! Plenty of anything you needed - bed linens, towels, kayaks, etc. The house worked so well for all of us - 6 adults and six kids. Lots of room to spread out, games, stereo and a beautiful outdoor shower. Such a great place!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
