House, 5 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 4 Baths, (Sleeps 10-12)

BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED, FULLY FURNISHED, OCEANFRONT DUPLEX perfect for family vacations, reunions, and fun get togethers.

Three levels with FIVE bedrooms and FOUR full baths; three ocean front bedrooms with a oceanfront deck off each. Lounge chairs on each deck. Relax on the first floor deck on lounge chairs or rock in rocking chairs. Watch the dolphin, or the cool swimsuits go by.

Large flat screen TV on first floor in family room, as well as DVD player, stero, and PlayStation2 with games; TV and DVD player in all bedrooms, commercial size foosball table in first floor bedroom, books, magazines, and DVD's. Two sofas in family room. One sofa is a sofa bed. A Chicco Pack-n-Playard for the really small chaps.

Wireless WiFi and two land line telephones, with answer machine.

Fully stocked kitchen including.. blender, coffee pots, expresso maker, bagel toaster. Big pots for seafood stew. No scrimping in the kitchen with utensils, glass ware, pots/pans, etc. Very nice appliances and new Samsung washer and Electrolux dryer.

Two adult bikes, wave boards, kites, kiddie pool, sidewalk chalk, beach toys. Big family size gas grill. The island has added miles of bike paths.

Five total Bedrooms - (almost new, top-of-the-line excellent mattresses) Four full bathrooms

*First floor bedroom with twin beds. Full bathroom on first floor

*Second floor master bedroom oceanfront -king size bed- with connecting bathroom (balcony off this bedroom facing ocean)

* Also, Second floor oceanfront bedroom with one queen size bed (balcony off this bedroom facing ocean)

* Another, Second floor bedroom with one queen size bed

Full bathroom on second floor

*Third floor with one oceanfront Master bedroom -king size bed- with connecting bathroom (balcony off bedroom facing ocean)

You will appreciate our clean, beachy, artsy, colorful duplex in teals and blues. This is a great location for surf fishermen with a medium depth beach just a few steps from the boardwalk. Nice wide sandy beach. There is an outside shower to rinse off.

This is a house for familes - minimum age to rent 25.

Maximum capacity of 10 to 12.

TAX, LINENS and CLEANING ALL INCLUDED. (Towels included, if you will wash in the brand new high end Samsung washer before leaving :)

About The Owner

My husband is from a small community in Michigan and i am from rural North Carolina. He says we are 'country grunts.' That sums us up nicely....friendly, hard workers and love it.

The Owner purchased this house in 2003
Why The Owner chose Emerald Isle

Emerald Isle seems to be one of the last areas that isn't totally commercialized. No high rise hotels, no fast food on the island. we still have a shanty here and there. That's just really cool to me.

What makes this house unique

My husband and i repair, replace, update things as necessary at the beach. The elements are so brutal on the oceanfront beach houses. He's the best handyman ever. We love doing projects together. well actually i love dreaming up the projects and he makes it happen. The name of our beach place is Wind Drift East but my husband calls it 'Maintenance H*ll!' We look up occassionally and see dolphin swim by as well as sea gulls diving for fish. That's the best benefit. Well, my husband also likes to watch the cool swimsuits go by...

Emerald Isle has great restaurants on the water - check them out. In the opposite direction is Salter Path and Atlantic Beach just 10 - 15 minutes away, then Morehead City just 20 minutes away with great restaurants on the water, big boats/ships as Morehead City waterfront is a international import/export dock, fishermen to watch, beautiful old homes, lots of sea gulls

The North Carolina Acquarium is just ten minutes away going toward Atlantic Beach. There are charter fishing boats for deep sea fishing, and surf fishing.

Better late than never

I completely forgot to sing Judy's praises and the house after our trip last summer. Although it did rain most of the week, we had an enjoyable stay and the house was spacious, clean and very enjoyable. Judy was a pleasure to work with my children loved having their own room and played foosball all evening. The kitchen/living room was spacious for 6 adults and we highly enjoyed ourselves. Thanks for opening your home to us!

We had such an enjoyable time staying at Wind Drift East. Plenty of all the essentials and a very well-stocked kitchen. I have to agree with the other reviewers that the washer/dryer combo is great. The owners are very nice to work with. We would definitely like to stay here again.

Fabulous Ladies Vacation

This was a perfect place for the girls to have a relaxing vacation. The townhouse was very well kept and equipped and we could not have been more comfortable. Loved the fact that since there were just 3 of us, we each had an oceanfront bedroom with a patio. Judy most pleasant to work with and made sure all of our questions were answered and our needs were met - She truly wants you to have a wonderful experience. Cannot wait to go back.

This is our 4th consecutive year of gathering with friends and family at Windrift East! This ocean front beach home is lovingly cared for by a NC resident just a few hours away from the beach and it shows! Almost everything you can think of that you may need at the beach is provided. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking in or dine out at some of our local favorites; Amos Mosquitos (Atlantic Beach) or Spouters Inn Restaurant (Beaufort).
We will definitely be back in 2013!
