Welcome to Urraca Private Islands Our Eco-Lodge and Private Pavillon provides an authentic island venue with excellent amenities and incredible opportunities to enjoy nature.

The Islands are protected by coral reef and are surrounded by turquoise and fluorescent ocean waters. The area presents diverse marine life and marine vegetation while offering breath taking panoramic views of Cayos Zapatillas, a very well appreciated site for nature lovers passionate.

It is the perfect place for a family getaway or for romance – it is a place to relax and enjoy the island lifestyle most of people dreamed about without ever been able to encounter it.

Ecotourism have here a new definition. Out of beaten path traveling is gorgeous, now imagine there is no path just a wonderful boat trip in between mangroves islands. You will find this small mangroves Island with your dedicated captain.

Now watch the welcome: you will meet capuchin monkey name Toutie, a ñeque name Lúa witch is here protected from being and endangered specie. At night a kinkajou name Quiso which is a night living animal will give you a little wink.

You will be served by authentical native Ngöbes which are used to give their hart without counting.

The encounter of that kind of civilization is so far away of what we know that it worth the visit in itself.

If not enough you will find this marine wonder that escape any description, including wild life and an unique heated natural pool.

Suspended between sea and sky in one of 4 small bungalows powered by solar panels, shower with rainwater, feast on catch of the day, swim in a natural pool & be pampered.

If not enough again you can have access to our private pavilion composed of a completely equipped house.

The magic of your stay here extends well past sunset. The tropical waters around the house are illuminated by a spectacular phenomenon of luminescence.

Cayucos (indians woo boat), Snorkeling gears and rafts are available for no charge.

Exclusive tours include a trip to an Indians village 'Mamatata', a crocodile night Safari with our captain 'Crocodile Dundee', a traditional fishing and snorkeling expedition with Ngöbes fishermen, and a boat tour to the best locales beaches of Zapatilla Islands Natonal Park, Bahia Azul, Cayo de Agua and Red Frog.

Our house was built by the Ngöbes Indians with their traditional techniques and local furniture.

The Ngöbes Indians are also employed by the resort, providing for them a place of employment and economic viability.

Solar panels provide all our energy , which is an added benefit for the environment and the ecosystem.

A must for the the exotic searching traveler, Mind blowing!

My husband and I have always tried to find adventure and relaxation in our travels. This particular spot may have ruined us for the rest of the world. Francine saw to our every need. We now adventure travel with our 4 yr old girl and 8 yr old boy. When we arrived - starfish galore, a monkey climbing into my little girl's lap, a natural fish nursery - with no need for snorkel equipment. Fresh Noni juice, a chef brought in special for us - lobster almost everynight ( if we wanted it) and travels to private beaches were just the more mundane activities provided. I am a fiber artist and wanted to desperately learn from the Ngobe women there. This was arranged. We spent 2 days at their house - learning from each other. Our children laughing and playing with theirs. Comfortable nights, great hostess and wonderful learning experience. I wish many of you to experience this magical place and leave as I did with tears running down your cheeks.

Une expérience unique et authentique au bout du monde...

J’ai eu l’immense chance de partager quelques jours avec Francine dans ce lieu paradisiaque et j’en garde de superbes souvenirs.
Apres avoir croisé des dauphins en chemin, Francine et son Touti (son petit singe) nous ont accueillit chaleureusement dans leur superbe demeure sur pilotis au cœur des mangroves.
Réveil avec vue imprenable sur les Caraïbes, plongée au cœur de récifs coralliens, rencontre avec la population locale… Francine est l’hôte parfaite et a su rendre le séjour magique et inoubliable.
Un voyage que je recommande a tous les amoureux de la nature qui recherchent une expérience dépaysante et authentique.
Un grand merci !

J'ai été accueillie par un groupe de beaux enfants indiens locaux avec des voix sublimes. L'endroit nous ébloui - on se retrouve dans un nouveau monde où tout est synonyme de beauté. Une succession d'agréables surprises nous attendait de jours en jours - Urraca Island à toi seule, tu possèdes la beauté de ce coin de pays avec ta verdure luxuriante, ta mer si bleue, ton accueuil hors du commun et de ton site enchanteur, je reverrai le tout dans mes plus beaux rêves. Mais, il n'est pas dit que je n'y retournerai pas.
Merci Francine pour tout - Tu es une hôtesse chaleureuse et exceptionnelle
P.S. Je ne peux oublier ton singe Touti qui est aussi attachant que sa maîtresse

Mai 2011 sera à jamais mémorable grâce à notre séjour chez FRANCINE, à Urraka. Comment oublier son accueil, la BIENVENUE fleurie et chantante de son groupe d'amis indiens, la VIE EN ROSE avec une nature pittoresque difficile à décrire, un singe-Capucin TOUTI plus qu'attachant malgré quelques espiègleries, un personnel bien formé pour les délicieux repas servis avec couleurs tropicales, les tours en bateau, la chance inouïe de voir des dauphins tout proches, et j'en passe ?? Je lève mon verre d'ABUELO pour tous ceux et celles qui vivront, chez Francine, pareille aventure paradisiaque ! Bravo et merci 1000 fois à Francine.

Mon voyage chez Francine, à l'île d'Urraca, restera à jamais gravé dans ma mémoire! Un endroit magnifique et extraordinairement paisible, rien de mieux pour se détendre et se recentrer sur soi-même. Francine nous accueille avec une touchante générosité et nous fait partager son amour de la nature avec des excursions à vous couper le souffle! Ce petit hôtel surprend autant par son charme que par son confort, rien n'y manque! Ajoutez à cela une piscine naturelle d'eau translucide et une vue imprenable! Les repas sont généreux et délicieux, cuisinés avec des produits frais, je vous recommande les langoustes fraichement pêchées! En bref, pas de superflu, que de l'authentique! Je le recommande à 100% !
