Extraordinarily charismatic, romantic, sunny and airy Mediterranean-style 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home in the heart of Venice/Marina del Rey sleeps up to 6 and is just a short walk to the beach. This is the ideal and utterly charming vacation getaway for a couple, family or business group. Located on beautiful Howard Street, we affectionately call it ''Howard's End.''

Our sunny casita welcomes you on a beautiful and quiet residential street just blocks from the Marina. Unrestricted parking. Open living room and dining area with skylights and hardwood floors. The spotless and airy kitchen is fully equipped with all amenities, perfect for preparing fresh organic produce from one of the many local farmer?s markets in the area. Enjoy breakfast on our front balconette, and lunch or dinner al fresco on our backyard terrace where 8 can comfortably gather around the table.

Howard's End also includes widescreen HD premium cable TV and high-speed broadband internet and Wi-Fi. Both bedrooms feature queen-size beds looking out into the backyard gardens, with the master bedroom's French doors opening up onto a lovely Mediterranean patio that leads to our backyard terrace. There are two full bathrooms adjacent to each bedroom. Our den offers a comfortable desk and working area, with a trundle that comfortably sleeps two and a queen-size sofa bed in the living room.

We're just a short stroll to the surf and sands of Venice beach where you can bike, swim, skateboard, explore, shop and dine casually or elegantly, and the famous Venice Pier and the Venice Canals are just a 7-minute walk down the street. The Marina -- Just two minutes away from the house, you can rent a sailboat and sail from Marina to beautiful Catalina Island -- or enjoy dining by the ocean and exploring Fisherman's Wharf

Venice Pier -- Take a stroll out onto the Pier, dine at one of the dozens of restaurants and cafes on Venice Beach -- or simply stroll, bike or skateboard down the world-famous Venice Boardwalk -- nearly 4 miles of gorgeous ocean views only a 10-minute walk from our house.

Girls Get-Away

I would recommend this place to anyone looking to have nice comfortable stay in Santa Monica. The house was absolutely beautiful. It was bright, spacious enough for six ladies, and the back yard is wonderful to relax, have dinner, and find peace away from every day life in. Not only was the house very comfortable but it was stocked with everything we needed to make dinner and enjoy the beach. I usually never sleep well in a bed other than my own but the beds were so cozy and comfortable; I not only slept well I caught up on my sleep! Ross was also exceptional...He was very responsive, quick to help with anything we needed, and speedy when it came to getting our deposit back. You can tell he treats this place like is own and goes above and beyond to make his guest feel welcome and comfortable...He's one of those people who really shows he cares about you having a good time and means it! I hope we can one day visit again and if we do I will definitely be reaching out to Ross for my accommodations!

Absolutely Beautiful Home!

We decided on a last minute celebration trip from Virginia for our family. After checking and reviewing quiet a few places we decided on "Howard's End" because Ross made it so easy for us to acquire the place for the days we needed. I have to say that the pictures on line do not do this beautiful house justice. The landscaping is just breath taking and the house is immaculate! There was plenty of room for us and some of our friends to visit. Having coffee in the morning, smelling all the beautiful flowers and listening to the birds signing was so relaxing. We walked to the beach and enjoyed the close by shopping. This place is so close to everything that you could possibly want to see and again Ross is there to help if you need anything. Ross takes pride in his home and that is exactly how we felt when visiting there "Home away from home". Thanks again Ross and we will be back!!

This was a special house I rent more houses on vacation and this house was fabulous very clean and the birds are singing in the beautiful garden 25 min to the center of L.A. And 10 minutes from Venice beach my family and I had a great time and the man who owns the house is a very nice and friendly man who help you with everything to make your stay as nice as possible ,

charming, nicely fragrant house

The house is located on a quiet street, with good parking and close access to grocery stores and the highways, and reasonably close to Venice Beach. Our family of 6 was comfortably accommodated. The open layout and backyard also allowed us to host meals for other family without feeling cramped. My only complaint is the bikes were not safely rideable and need repair. Helmets might also be needed. Otherwise, we greatly enjoyed our stay and how well Ross ensured the house had all the necessary provisions.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

I stayed in this house with my large family (me, my wife and 4 children aged 13, 11, 9 and 6 years old) in June 2012.
The house is beautiful, spacious, better than it looks on the website, the owner is very kind and friendliest.
The house is situated in a quiet and very convenient for visiting the city.
A special mention deserves the garden and the envelope for the barbecue.
