We have lived in Rogers since 1997. We enjoy hiking, traveling, and staying active.
Cynthia Lueders purchased this cottage in 2004
We actually live on the back of this 10 acre farm. We bought the this cottage with hopes of restoring it to its 1940's original feel and accomplished that this summer.
You will be able to relax with coffee on the porch, playing horse shoes or grilling out in the back yard or going on a hike back through the woods on the farm.
My husband and I like to attend the Dave Matthews Band concerts at least once a year. Rogers, AR added the new Walmart Amphitheater last year (2014), and Dave Mattews Band had it in their schedule this year for the first time. We usually go to Texas, but wanted to try Arkansas this year. We are so glad that we did! We stayed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday night and left Wednesday morning. It felt like a full but relaxing vacation. The cottage was wonderful! We felt that our opportunites were endless! The first day there we explored the cottage. It has a wonderful front porch (one of 3 porches, by the way) with a very nice porch swing. When I was at the cottage, I took my books and Kindle out to the porch swing and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The wi-fi connection was excellent! I could read, watch the birds, or the thunderstorm, or catch up on email! My husband enjoyed the comfortable living area and great TV channel choices. It had a wonderful kitchen, a dining table big enough to serve a holiday dinner, a laundry area/mud porch, and two great bedrooms. We chose the bedroom with many, many windows and it was so relaxing to hear the rain pitter-patter on the roof. We took a walk on the grounds, and enjoyed the wooded walk trail and the meet-up with a sweet horse that we encountered. When we wanted a change, we got in the car, and explored around Rogers, AR. We enjoyed driving around Lake Atlanta. We drove to Bentonville, and explored their town square. We especially enjoyed the Walton Museum (which was free). We walked up and down the sidewalks and looked at the beautiful homes and gorgeous landscaping. We were too late to go inside the Crystal Museum (with high-quality art work), but we did get to walk around the beautiful gardens and paths. One day, we drove into Fayetteville and visited the Clinton House and Museum, where Hillary and Bill were married in 1975. We met people who were riding their bicycles and they recommended many great trails and hiking paths around this area of Arkansas. We visited a Farmer's market in town square of Fayetteville. There are many natural food places, if you enjoy that. We loved the way our hosts decorated the cottage. It was classy and elegant. We loved the colors they chose to decorate with, and the pieces they used to furnish the cottage. This was the first place we've ever stayed. where they didn't tape notes to every appliance, door or switch to give an instruction. They were superb hosts!
Wonderful little cottage with gracious host. Full kitchen on sight as well as laundry. Plenty of room inside and out to spread out.
A great little house for vacationing in Northwest Arkansas. Clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Quiet location, yet close to shopping and interstate.
We love the house as it is so convenient to everything in NW AR. It is very clean and very-well maintained and the owners are always so friendly and helpful.
Walking trails on the property allow for viewing surrounding horse farms, nature.
Shopping at the Promenade(Target, Dillard's) is very close. Golf, fishing (Beaver lake), fitness center with gym, restaraunts are very close. This is the best possible location to see all of Northwest Arkansas in a very private, quiet, setting in our newly remodeled cottage.
