This knotty pine walled cottage has 4 rooms including 2 bedrooms & 800 square feet. You have a clear lake front view from 3 rooms. The front bedroom has a queen bed & lakefront view. The back bedroom with a bunk bed, converts to twins. The beds & futon have excellent mattresses. The kitchen is furnished with plenty of cookware, tableware & appliances, but no dishwasher. Living room has a sleeper sofa and swivel wicker chairs. Knotty cedar sun room added in 2001 has (7) wrap around lake view windows, a futon couch/bed & large dining table. The bathroom has stand up shower stall with hose spray nozzle (handy for bathing small children.) Bedsheets, blankets, pillows, bathroom & kitchen towels are provided, or bring your bed sheets & bathroom towels for a discount. There is a clothes line in the backyard. New in 2012; a window air conditioner capable of cooling the entire cottage on hot & humid days. Also added in 2012, a new furnace to warm the cottage on cool days & nights. All the comforts of home except dishwasher & cable/satellite tv. Our TV antenna & set top tuner picks up all of the Mpls.-St. Paul stations, plus those in between stations; 5-2, 5-3, 11-2 etc. Bring some books, CD's, DVD's or even VHS tapes for when you've had too much fun in the sun & water. Do you need internet access? New for 2013 is a WIFI hotspot you can use. Renters pay for bandwidth needed. I can explain this when the time comes. Cell phone coverage is good here with (2) towers nearby.
Green Lake (800+ acres) is the largest lake in Isanti County. You can see about 90% of it from our shore. It's big enough for dozens of boaters to do their thing (ski, fish, sail, jet ski) while not disturbing other boats on the lake or swimmers near shore. Our long dock provides a protected swim/play area. Green Lake is not busy except July 4th & walleye fishing opener weekend. Walleye are stocked every other year. Largemouth Bass, Northern, Crappie & Sunnie fishing is self sustaining and very good. Crappie, Sunnie & Perch are easy to catch with worms from our dock. You can learn more about the lake at the MN DNR website. A bait shop is 5 minutes away.
Our lake & swimming area has a dark sand bottom with no rocks or muck. Swim out 150 feet & touch the lake bottom in about 6 feet of water.
Adults can use our canoe. Bring your boat & tie it inside the 'L' of our sturdy 70 foot aluminum dock. Park your boat trailer in our back yard. The public access has a concrete boat ramp/landing, & a large parking lot.
We are only 10 minutes from Princeton and 15 from Cambridge. Both have plenty of restaurants and a large 24 hour supermarket. The Hi-Way Inn bar/tavern is 1 mile away. Close enough to walk for burgers, pizza & drinks. 5 minutes east is the Pine Brook Inn serving steak, walleye & more. Shooter's Sports Bar (5 minutes west) has good food, & flat screen HD TV's showing all the games. Walmart recently opened a store in Princeton
Golf at Purple Hawk in Cambridge or The Princeton Golf Club, easily located on Google.com.
Tennis: Free courts available at the high school in Princeton.
