Overlooking a tranquil pond and stream, the two-story bank of windows and deck in the front of this house make you feel as if you are living in a tree house in the forest. It's truly a tranquil escape from every day life.

Two downstairs bedrooms share a bath. The upstairs loft bedroom has its own bath. The living area on the first floor includes a convenient gas fireplace, flat-screen television with cable and DVD player, a kitchen with an island and dining area. The basement game room has a TV/DVD player, pool table, boardgames, and a Wii. It makes a great playroom. The house is equipped with wi-fi and an outdoor hot tub (available all year round).

This newer construction gives you all the comforts of home but all the quiet and beauty of nature. Sitting on the deck, you can enjoy the sound of the stream flowing past and the panorama of the pond, hemlocks and white pine trees. The area abounds with breathtaking foliage in the fall, amazing snowy landscapes in the winter, and lush greenery in the spring and summer. This cozy house sits on seven acres for a secluded atmosphere, a real sense of getting away from the noise and bustle of civilization.

The Benefits at this Chalet: This house is adjacent to Childs Park (partially closed till 2012) and the 70,000 acre Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Hike from house to Dingmans Falls and Childs Park waterfalls. Near to Raymondskill and Bushkill Falls too! Only two miles from the Delaware River, which features canoeing, kayaking, tubing, and of course, great fishing. The 32 mile McDade trail follows the river and is perfect for biking, hiking and cross-country skiing. Perfect Mountain Retreat

This place was amazing and we will definitely be making a return trip. As others on here have said, the pictures do not do the property justice. You are perfectly tucked away in the mountain side with a ton of privacy and a lot to keep you busy. We were there in very cold weather (even snow) and still had a blast! The house itself was very clean and spacious. With three finished floors it gave everyone room to spread out. The house was very well labeled on how to use everything as well. The most used line of the weekend was "We REALLY need to come back here" Definitely will not disappoint those that are looking for a retreat.

Side note: The locals were amazing as well and we were invited to both a pig roast and a corn beef and cabbage St. Patty's day event while we explored around. There is a market less than a mile from the house where you can get any supplies you may forget.

Amazing (pet-friendly) Chalet

My partner and I were looking for a last-minute, relaxing, mountain get-away in the Poconos, that happened to be pet-friendly.....specifically cat-friendly. And boy did we find it! The pictures posted do not do justice to this beautiful property. The drive to reach the home was so picturesque and when you pull into the long driveway, it takes your breath away. The home was spacious, very clean and well maintained, and everything you expect from a Poconos retreat. A very unexpected treat was a special box of chocolates and note from the owners. Very nice touch! From the warming fireplace to the hot tub on the expansive deck, this home was perfect. The bedrooms and bathrooms are beautiful and the kitchen was a great place to gather and cook dinner together. The home is also very close to Milford, which is a great town with quaint shops and lovely restaurants. We were 100% pleased with our decision to rent this property and look forward to returning with more friends soon.

We wanted a last minute getaway and chose the mountains. We looked at several places. We like the location in relation to Milford. So we settled on this property the day before we arrived. First the pictures don't do it justice (not that they are bad). The place was spectacular. We arrived and there already had been snow on the ground. The driveway and steps where paved for us. The inside was immaculate with plenty of amenities. Even simple things like Candies and Notes to their guests exceeded our expectations. It snowed all weekend and the hot tub was great. We got great pictures. Beautiful property, beautiful chalet and great rental.
Recommended for:  Adventure Seekers, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Beautiful!

Pulling up to this home was a great start to a wonderful weekend with friends! I was amazed by how clean the home was. We were 3 couples and had more than enough space for everyone to be able to spread out. It got very chilly friday night but the fireplace in the living room kept the whole house comfortable. We had so many things planned for the weekend but found ourselves spending most of the time hanging out and relaxing!! Raymondskill Falls is about a 10-15 minute drive and was stunning!! Overall, we all had a wonderful time. Stacy was great! Before we even left, we started talking about when we will come back!
