We loved the idea of being so close to the city, but still able to enjoy tranquility of the country. We loved that the kids could run outside and breath the fresh air and see the stars in the evening.

Outstanding location - ultimately peaceful and secluded, surrounded by fields with horses, deer, coyotes and foxes but yet just 3 minutes drive from all services. Quick access to the freeway making the drive to the Rocky Mountains, the city or the airport just a breeze. Would recommend for families with kids.

I booked with Ang last minute for a place to have my kids. Everything was well organized and simple. The house was amazing perfect location. Close to everything a yet still in a very relaxed and calm atmosphere I would recommend this place to anyone!

Had a fabulous time!

My family and I stayed here for 10 days and it worked perfectly for us. Lots of room for the kids to play and the adults to visit. Peaceful and quiet. Was so convenient to all kinds of shopping but in a country setting. We loved it and will definitely come back.

Space for the family

Our intention was for somewhere to chill for a few days between road trips and this house provided room as well as entertainment for the kids - they loved the trampoline and the garden :)

More than enough room for all, well equipped kitchen, clean, sufficient linens and towels, lovely premises. Close enugh to amenities and city to get groceries/food/entertainment.

House is slightly older in terms of furnishings. Some lights were not working and we couldn't get the satellite tv working - minors which personally didn't bother us since we didn't watch much tv - we were too busy relaxing. When we had a query, the Owner was very responsive and helpful.

Beautiful property, but needs a little TLC

Our family (2 adults, 1 toddler and 1 infant) stayed at this property for just over a week in June. While I would love to give this property 5 stars based on the location, the interior amenities were a bit lacking. The outside property was beautiful - cows, horses and wheat field for neighbours, a front porch with sun during the day, and a big back deck with sun in the afternoon/evening which was perfect for BBQing and watching the sun set. Tons of room outside for the little one to run around. The inside is quite big as well, and sleeps much more than our small family! Also, the close proximity to Royal Oak (groceries, coffee, pub ...anything you could want) was great - a quick 5 minute drive straight up the road. Country living, with the advantages of being in a city. The kitchen however was a bit lacking - simple things like cutting boards and pots and pans were very limited if available at all, and we did struggle a bit preparing meals. The coffee machine was also broken, but the owners gladly replaced it with a new one, which was great of them. Cleanliness also wasn't the best we've seen. It was fairly clean and tidy, but under the couch in the cushions was pretty gross (areas we often have to look in to find our 2 year olds lost toys), there were quite a few cobwebs and bugs in light fixtures and that sort of thing. Nothing a good spring cleaning couldn't fix. We also found the beds a bit old/dated, and the bunk bed mattresses smelled like saturated urine - luckily we didn't sleep in there, it was just used as play room.

As previously mentioned however, we did really enjoy the property - so much that we did extend a couple of extra days. With a few changes this could easily be a 5 star property.

Owner's Response: All issues mentioned in this review have been addressed. We have undergone an extensive renovation this year (2014) and the house and furnishings have been upgraded.

This is very nice and clean home as per pitchers. Very co-operative owner. This is par fact home for vacation. Only 5 kilometres away from all kind of shopping. Very quiet and peace. Good location between hills. I would definitely go for next time and advice other to go this home and stay here. This home is way better than stay in hotel or motel. It has more than enough room than 12 people.
