House, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 6-7)

Wonderful Mount Hood Vacation Home 15 minutes from SkiBowl Resort. Located on Barlow Trail Road between Brightwood and ZigZag. Easy access to skiing and snow sports on Mount Hood Great restaurants nearby. Living area downstairs includes plenty of comfortable seating. Downstairs bedroom has a full size bed. The upstairs loft includes a master bedroom with a queen size log bed, plus a bunk bed with a full bed below and a twin on top. Futon and recliner are also in the loft. 32' LCD TV in the loft, with many DVDs to watch. One TV also has a VCR.

Spacious back deck with built in seating (brand new this year), as well as a brand new hot tub. Hackett Creek flows through the back yard, which looks and sounds wonderful. Gas firepit also in place on the back deck.

Bathroom includes shower, but no bathtub. Plenty of towels and linens available. Kitchen is well equipped for preparing meals.

The cabin is located on Barlow Trail Road, in the Timberline Rim development. There is a community pool available for renters in the summer. Excellent road biking and mountain biking nearby.

About The Owner

We live in Longview, WA. We have been renting this out to friends and family occasionally, but would like to see it get more use. We typically use the house about once a week in the winter.

The Owner purchased this house in 2009
Why The Owner chose Rhododendron

We spend a lot of time at Mount Hood throughout the year, and enjoy hiking, skiing, snowshoeing and biking. There are excellent restaurants nearby, and the Resort at the Mountain is about 5 minutes away. We prefer the privacy of a cabin as opposed to a condo.

What makes this house unique

Excellent hiking and biking nearby. The Sandy River is a short walk away. There is a community pool available for renters.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The layout of the loft makes this place seem more like a 3 bedroom than a 2 bedroom. There is a creek running behind the hot tub which made the hot tub that much more enjoyable.

We had a fabulous trip and the owner was very pleasant to deal with. I expect to return next winter for another ski trip.

the cabin was great; the stream made cozy rushing noises; the hot tub under the stars, when the kids were sleeping, was idyllic; and the drive to the snow was quick w/little traffic-we will totally come back!

Very clean and maintained cabin. We celebrated our daughter's wedding in the Wild Wood Recreation area and this was the perfect location for us to stay. It was wonderful coming back to the cabin and enjoying the hot tub in the evenings. Thank you Matt and family.
