1 bedroom, 1 bath

Whitebrook Lodge, surrounded by the Whitebrook stream dates back to the 1920's. The lodge is under renovation and we have a lovely one bedroom rental which is totally renovated. We are still working on the rest of the lodgge.It is a rustic wooded retreat located near the base of the Whiteface Trail which goes 5.2 miles to the top of Whiteface. Whitebrook is a year- round destination for such activities such as: hiking, golfing, rock climbing,canoeing, kayacking,fishing, hunting, skiing, snowboarding, horeback riding, ice fishing, bobsledding, snowmobiing , cross country skiing, local swimming at the Mt. Everest Beach or hiking to the waterfalls and swimming hole near the property, luge, figure and speed skating. Santa's workshop down the road as well as homemade maple syrup up the road. Take a gondola ride in the summer or a scenic plane ride from the Lake Placid airport over the Adironcacks. Only 10 miles from the Village of Lake Placid offers fine dining, shopping and antiquing.

Whitebtook is is a property nestled on 7 1/2 wooded acres surrounded by the Whitebrook Creek, within a 5 minute walk to the Whiteface trail. The property is currently being renovated and the master bedroom and bath are available. Master bedroom has gorgeous stone gas fireplace and also a stone gas fireplace in the bathroom. Radiant heat in both rooms.The bedroom has a king size sleigh bed and leather couch sitting area by the fireplace. The bath has a jacuzzi and large walk in shower with body spray. Double vanity and marble flooring .Amenities include WiFi, 42' satellite tv with DVD player and surround sound. Microwave and small refrigerator also in a nook in the bedroom. Outside grill for cooking out. Everything is totally new in this convenient apartment!!.

Get away from the hustle bustle

Wonderful little cabin for my husband and I to get away to! LOVED the heated floors and fireplaces, not to mention the king size bed! Walking distance to the mountain trails which were beautiful in the winter, and driving distance to all sorts of activities. Judy was so accommodating and available for anything we needed and truly wanted us to enjoy what she enjoys so much.

We've stayed at Whitebrook twice now and it's a great little hideaway. Very well appointed with a comfortable bed and jacuzzi bath, a spectacular shower and little kitchen area. A fire ring with a lot of wood makes for warm evenings and the fact that it's dog friendly is definitely a plus. Satellite TV and Internet access make it possible to get connected if necessary, although being set back into the woods means that you can just as easily unplug while you're there. We''l be back!

This place was terrific for me because it was the best of both worlds. The room looks like something out of a 5 star hotel. The bed is super comfortable and the bathroom is like a fresh clean spa. On the other hand, the trail head up to the Whiteface mountain peak is practically in the back yard! I spend much of my time with the door hanging open and letting my dog wonder about as he pleased. One of the best Adirondack swimming holes (jump off a waterfall and go for a swim at the Flume) is just a 5 min drive.

Great weekend escape location!

This is one of the best rentals I've ever stayed in. It was so perfect for the weekend we stayed. The location was great, about 15 minutes outside of lake placid. It was a quick and easy drive to access all of the restaurants and shopping the quaint town had to offer. I stayed on a busy weekend so the parking in town was a bit rough, but over all the timing was perfect, so many restaurants to eat at! The cabin itself was over all better than i had imagined. The bed was comfy and it was very clean. The only bad things about the place were the water pressure and the very small hot water tank, but the good out weighed the bad. The owner met us there for a quick tour of the entire place (which will eventually be amazing) and then left us for the weekend. I would recommend this cabin to anybody interested in a nice, peaceful, and relaxing getaway.
Owner's Response: So glad you enjoyed your stay as our guests! As the rest of the house is being worked on, we will have another boiler for unlimited hot water. Hope you keep us in mind again to visit Whitebrook to visit us soon!
