CREEKFRONT CABIN - NEW AND COZY-PRIVATE AND RELAXING

Hiawassee Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 2 - 4)

PLEASE CALL FOR BOOKING INFORMATION - 706-896-5005 $75 rate is based on 1-2 guests or $450 per week.

$110 rate for 3-4 guests or $660 per week..This cozy cabin was recently built by the owners welcoming its first guests in 2012. Nestled on a one acre wooded lot in a quiet neighborhood, it is private but not 'scary' secluded. The rocking chairs on the covered front porch summon you to relax and enjoy beautiful Hightower Creek with pastoral and mountain views beyond. The paved driveway and parking area work well for motorcycles.

Inside you will find a spacious and charming interior with wood floors, knotty pine walls, a 16' high cathedral ceiling and gas fireplace. Enjoy the flat screen TV while relaxing in one of the comfortable, reclining seats. The living area is open to the clean, modern and fully equipped kitchen.

The Master Bedroom on the main floor contains a King Bed, large dresser with mirrors, ceiling fan, closet, and private entrance to the bathroom. Also on the main floor is a seperate laundry room and a smaller covered back porch with a gas BBQ grill.

The upstairs loft bedroom contains 2 twin beds and it overlooks the living area. Also included is a full bath, closet, and ceiling fan.

The cabin is conveniently located about 10 minutes from downtown Hiawassee midway between Lake Chatuge and Lake Burton. Guests are welcome to visit our llama farm nearby or hike on the Appalachian Trail just 1 mile up the road. Also in nearby Young Harris, Crane Creek Vineyards offers great tours and the best wine in the local area.

Upon your arrival, one of us will personally meet with you, turn over the keys, and briefly familiarize you with all of the amenities that the cabin has to offer. Come and be among our first guests.

Your cabin is waiting.

Don and Jeanne moved to Hiawassee in 1997 from the State of Washington where they raised llamas. Moving their herd with them they have continued with their farm which is located near the cabin. Don and Jeanne manage and maintain this cabin themselves and are conveniently close by to provide any help or advice. The comfort and satisfaction of their guests is their number one priority.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2011

We purchased this lot because of its close proximity to our farm, the nice wooded area, and the beautiful views. Most of all, however, is Hightower Creek bordering one side, running so cold and clear. It reminded us of the beautiful streams that we left in the Pacific Northwest.

In addition to being so centrally located among the wonderful small communities with an endless stream of local events, our guests are welcome to visit our farm and hang out with our llamas and alpacas. Other than cabin guests, our farm is not open to the public.

This was my husbands and mine second visit to the creekfront cabin. Once again we found everything very inviting. The cabin was clean and fully stock with all your essentials. The creek out front soothes ones soul. If you are looking for a place to "GETAWAY" and get "REJUVENATED" look no further.

We were looking to get away from home for a few days and just relax and be lazy. We enjoyed coffee on the front porch every morning as we listened to the flowing creek. We loved the area and all the beautiful scenery to and from. We visited the vineyard for a wine tasting, grilled out, read books, watched a couple of movies, and took in the sights. The very short drive off the highway to the cabin really puts you in your own little world. It is the perfect amount of privacy. You can see both neighboring houses through the trees if you try but you don't really know they are there because there are plenty of trees in between. Owners have wonderful hospitality and were willing to assist and answer any and all questions we had. As soon as grandparents are willing to keep our kids again, we plan to be back. Loved it and our time together! Shannon & Travis

WONDERFUL, RELAXING GET-AWAY

  • 5 of 5
A friend and I were looking for a beautiful, peaceful "get-away" from somewhat hectic schedules to celebrate her 60th birthday. We couldn't have found a better place!! Not only were we able to enjoy morning coffee and an evening glass of wine on the porch and quiet evenings in the cozy , well-equipped cabin, we were also able to spend the days hiking in a most beautiful area of the country - from the Tallulah Gorge to the Appalachian Trail! Jeanne was wonderful in her assistance and welcome...I can't recommend Creekfront Cabin highly enough!!

Wonderful 2 bedroom cabin. Cabin in Immaculate condition and well stocked with everything you need. Many meals were fixed at the cabin. Wounderful view from the porch. Sit and listen to the rushing creek below while rocking in the chairs and watch the cattle/calves grazing in the pasture. Also caught a fish in the stream. We loved everything! Beds very comfortable. Absoulutely nothing but the best ! We will definitely be back! Daily rate was terrific. The owners are wonderful people. God Bless this peaceful rest for all who will follow!!

RELAXING MOUNTAIN HIDEAWAY - GREAT STAY - EXACTLY AS ADVERTISED

  • 5 of 5
My wife and I decided to add a two day stay over to a one day volunteer opportunity in the mountains. When I saw the ad for this cabin, I knew it was the place I wanted to stay. It was rustic and modern at the same time. The front porch looks over the creek and onto the pasture across the creek with the mountains in the background. My wife, the city girl, enjoyed the spring calves while I enjoyed the creek in the front yard. We both enjoyed hiking on the Appalachian Trail, just over a mile from the cabin. Note that the Appalachian Trail roughly parallels the eastern continental divide in this area and that the waters that fall in Townes County (where the cabin is) flow via the Tennessee River to the Gulf of Mexico and the waters that fall in Rabun County (just east of the Appalachian Trail) flow to the Atlantic Ocean via the Savannah River.
Because the cabin is so well equipped for cooking, we did not avail ourselves of any dining out experiences. We had all of our meals in the cabin, except those on the trail.
On the day of my volunteer experience at Riverbend Campground in Hiawassee, my wife enjoyed, and was impressed by, the Hamilton Gardens in Hiawassee and the John C Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, NC.
My wife and I are in our late sixties. Hence the sedate activities. But 20 (or 30) years ago, we may have enjoyed some whitewater activities on the Hiawasssee River the Ocoee River or the Chatooga River, all within about 20 minutes of the cabin. But the wine tasting at the Hightower Creek Vinyards (within walking distance of the cabin) was closer to our speed.
I hope that it is obvious from the foregoing that we recommend the cabin highly. It is exactly what the ads say it is. And, in our opinion, that is wonderful.
