Six Weeks Of Home Away From Home
I literally searched the entire internet for months looking for a place to stay during my 6 weeks in LA. I sent many emails to numerous property owners, compared prices, verified the crime statistics and eventually decided to go with the Hollywood Angle. I felt at home, the beds are comfortable, it's convenient to everything, the neighbors were great, my daughter and I felt safe and you can walk to Hollywood Blvd - what else can you ask for???? The house is tucked away and not even visible from the street. There's a locked door to even get to the house so there's lots of privacy. The trees cooled the house during the day so I kept the windows opened each day/night and I barely used the air conditioning. The kitchen was great to cook in. My only complaint was the bathtub in the second bedroom was not big enough for my 12 y/o daughter to fit in length wise and she's 5'6". Other posters mentioned a full length mirror and although I didn't miss it I guess it would be a good addition for others. The off street parking was appreciated as you will see the parking situation can be tough if you are relying on the street parking. Unfortunately I will not be renting the Hollywood Angle again because this year I will be a resident!!! Wooo hooo!!! We liked LA so much that we will be moving there this summer. If you are looking for a home away from home then you can't go wrong with the Angle and David was great to work with and an excellent host. I have referred other people to him and I don't refer people lightly.

Owner's Response: It was wonderful having you both as Hollywood Locals for the better part of the summer. I have since installed a full length mirror but the vintage, maid's claw foot tub was a special find that isn't going to change anytime soon. It was a luxury back in the turn of the century to have plumbing indoors and I thought it fitting to maintain some of the original character of the period. I hope the modern, luxurious steam room shower in the other bathroom makes up for this antiquity. I love honoring the old and mixing it with the latest in architectural trends. Congratulations on your move to LA. Please contact me once you've settled.
