The property was as advertised. The place is clean. Enjoyed our stay in the home. The house easily accommodated our family of 10 adults and three children. Everything was functional. All appliances including the washer and dryer worked. The hand and bath towels were clean, but not in a good condition. The wash cloths were ragged. Luckily, we bought our own towels, and most of us used our own. The kitchen was adequately equipped. But, compared to other properties I have similarly rented, the kitchen is not well organized. The ceramic dinner plates were bulky and some of the plates need replacement. The outside grill worked, but we spent a lot of time cleaning. This was a big challenge given the number and size of the musquitoes during the time of our visit. Despite the cleaning we could not get even heat on the grill requiring us to recook a few pieces of the marinated cut chicken pieces back on the stove top. Costco, Target, and groceries are very close, which was a big plus. Downtown Anchorage was not far. We rented bikes in down town and did the coastal trail. Saw a black bear and a few moose. Hiking trials were also not far. Did a few good moderately challenging hikes. You will need your own vehicle to get around. We personally met with the owner, and I spoke with the owner on the phone on the day we checked out. This easy accessibility to the owner was a plus. I would definitely recommend the property for a large family gathering. Having only three and a half baths was not a big hindrance, given that we were all family. If not for these little matters of better towels, better bed linen ( in a few rooms), and a clean grill , I would give this property an excellent.
