House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 5)

Nestled in the beautiful Tortolita Mountains just north west of Tucson, Dove Mountain is a serene resort community. The Gallery Golf Course and the Ritz Carlton Hotel have both hosted the Accenture Match PGA tour. Hiking in the community and stunning views abound.

Only 7 Miles from the I-10, you are close to all the cultural and shopping experiences in Tucson. A nearby Starbucks is a 5 minute bike ride away.

Passing under the spreading mesquite tree in the front yard you enter the house. There a small seating area leads you to the 8 seat Spanish style dining room.

Walking through you will enjoy a great room which houses a 48' HD TV and a gas lit wood burning fireplace. The patio door leads onto the patio with views of 2 ranges of mountains. The kitchen with breakfast bar allows socializing in the great room as you prep food and drinks.

As you entertain friends and serve dinner, beautiful linens and dishes will make you proud of any meal.

The master bedroom has a new king bed with lace trimmed sheets. The ensuite has a twin sink vanity with a garden tub and walk in closet.

The guest bedroom has twin bed and excellent drawer and closet storage.

The third bedroom has a twin bed and a large desk to serve as an office/bedroom.

About The Owner

We are Canadians from Calgary and I am a retired teacher with a love of the desert. I hike with my West Highland Terriers on the many paths and trails on Dove Mountain while my husband plays golf at the Quarry Pines golf course 15 minutes away.

We enjoy the in-expensive first run movies in nearby theatres and great dining in numerous restaurants 15 to 20 minutes drive from the house.

The Owner purchased this house in 2005
Why The Owner chose Marana

This is our vacation home and eventually our winter retirement home. We like being close to theTucson and Phoenix culture and shopping but love our quiet mountain retreat. Backing onto the desert and a horse ranch we can hear the coyotes howl after dark as we sip our last glass of wine on the deck.

What makes this house unique

We have travelled to Mexico for 30 years and have enjoyed decorating this home with lots of the colorful Talavara pottery I've brought backover the years.

We've also landscaped our back yard to attract hummingbirds for our pleasure as we enjoy a morning coffee.

Two bikes ar in the garage fo you to use and enjoy the desert and mountain views.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The three-bedroom house was ideal for our family of four; it is comfortable and cozy and just as it appears in the photos. The Dove Mountain setting is fabulous and the location is convenient to shopping and points of interest, such as Tohona Chul Park. We enjoyed seeing Gamble's Quail, Curved-billed Thrashers, Gila Woodpeckers, Cactus Wrens, Verdins and the desert landscape right outside our windows. The local walking trails are marvelous.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing
